The Heroes of Olympus, Book One The Lost Hero (new cover)
By Rick Riordan
Imagine if the greek gods were real, and were still alive today. Imagine if there were demigods, roaming the Earth, that we humans knew nothing about. Well, in The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, you get to see what a world like that would be like; through the demigod’s points of view. In The Lost Hero, each character is facing a different conflict. Earlier in his life, Leo was tricked by the evil primordial god of the earth Gaea to use his fire powers (An attribute that is very rare for a son of Hephaestus to have) for bad. Gaea manipulated his firepower so that he burned down the mechanic shop his mom-owned, and his mom died in the fire. So now he doesn’t want to use his fire powers in fear that he will hurt someone again. Jason lost his memory, so he can’t remember anything that's happened before he woke up on a school bus. Piper is sad because she remembers that Jason and her were boyfriend and girlfriend, but none of the relationship was real, it was just a trick of the mist (the mist basically hides the gods, demigods and greek monsters from humans, although some humans have a gift to see through the mist). The setting of the book is in the USA, in modern times, and for most of the book at a camp called Camp Half-Blood; which is a camp for demigods of greek gods, which all of the main characters are. The main antagonist in the book series is Gaea. Gaea is the Greek primordial goddess of the Earth, which means she was created near the beginning of time. She has been asleep for eons but is now waking up to overthrow the gods. Basically, a lot of the enemies that the main characters face that aren’t Gaea are working for Gaea, like the giant Enceladus, who was keeping Piper's dad captive on Mount Diablo; that giant was working for Gaea. One of the most important memory moments of the book was when Jason got most of his memory back and remembered that he was a son of Jupiter, which is the roman version of Zeus, which means he is Roman and not Greek. This memory moment then makes all of the characters have the biggest aha-moment of the story that sets the scene for the next book in the series. Overall, The Lost Hero is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who has finished the Percy Jackson series and is left with the feeling of wanting more, or, for anybody who is interested in greek mythology and a great and hard-to-put-down book.
Taylor Swift (Today's Superstars (Paper))
By Barbara M Linde
This book is all about taylor swifts life. Taylor swift started young ,but always had her parents always support her. when Taylor was young she got a record deal. But they didn't want her to write her own music . ( man , they should have let her!😂) but after a while she found the perfect one for her. I recommend this to all Taylor swift fans and I rate it 4/5 stars 😁 - Pizzagirl7 😁
Imagine Me (Shatter Me)
By Tahereh Mafi
A good ending to the Shatter Me series, but not the best one. I still liked it though!
Because of the Rabbit
By Cynthia Lord
Dylan Leibl-Cot
This book is called Because Of The Rabbit. The author of the book is Cynthia Lord, and the year it was written was in April 2019. This book was very well written ,and funny and also very serious.I think it was good because they had an adventure and saved a bunny. The hardest part in the book was saving the bunny, from the fence Alexa is a girl who is in an public school. At the end of the book she wanted to give a letter to the queen asking not to close the gates right away. She was in her other castle. When the girl gets to the castle the police catch her and call the mom and the step mom.The girls give the note to the queen asking not to close the gates so Amat’s mom and dad could get through the gates. The mom and dad get to him safely.Ahmet had a vcat and a sister but died in a war.Ahmet and his family ran away from the war. My most entertained part is when they save the bunny, from the fence.I also like how they got the bunny out of the really tight fence. It amazed me because it sounded hard to get the bunny out.The whole book also told me what the bunny looked like.My favorite place is actually the school because it shows more people to the book. Because of the Rabbit was very funny, embarrassing.I think the book should be a little longer. But it makes me curious in a way.A good recommendation is my mom , and my dad should read it almost every day.But what I do not recommend is to read it to the higher grades because they would probably be in another world/thinking about other stuff. Because of the Rabbit.Because of the Rabbit made me feel introduced to the book.I had been introduced by the book showing me the characters like and what they do for a living.I also thought the book introduced Lapi with a problem, when the Rabbit was stuck in the fence. The book also made me feel attractive. The book made me feel attractive by showing me more characters and more places.
Harriet the Spy (M Books)
By Louise Fitzhugh
Kensie
Harriet the Spy I am going to tell you about my opinion of Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh published in 1964. This book is about an eleven year old girl who goes to middle school and always carries around her journal where she writes things good and bad about everyone even her friends. In my opinion this is my favorite book. I like it because it gave me a lot of emotions like sadness, happiness, shock, anger and more. I think that fourth through sixth boys and girls would like this book. People who like to read chapter books and longer books would also like this book. This book is not the best for younger kids it has some big words and not many pictures.
Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret
By Judy Blume
This book represents the awkwardness of growing up. Margaret is experiences this difficulties that all of us girls can relate to. Judy Blume's heartwarming and interesting touch kept me from putting this book down. And the religious aspect, absolutely outstanding! Margaret's parents are Atheist, or don't believe in God. Margaret secretly prays to the God she felt is there in her heart, rather than what she learned from her parents. This book teaches us that growing up is difficult and that we aren't alone.
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (Fudge)
By Judy Blume
Tales of a fourth grade nothing is a really funny book it is when Pete Hatcher, Fudge Hatcher(Farley Dextrel Hatcher), Jimmy Fargo and Sheila Tuban live all in the same apartment not differ houses in the apartment they go to the same school together and Jimmy is Peters best friend in the whole entire world and Sheila and Peter are not best friends there the best engines in the whole entire world I think this is a really good book and the funny but mostly sad part is when fudge wants to fly like a bird but he jumps off a jungle gym and breaks his two front teeth his mother,Sheila and Peter thinks he lost them or just swallowed them but he did get scrapes all over his self he got scrapes on his knees his face his elbows his arms his neck his hand I mean he got scrapes every where and the book wages he cried a lot I felt really bad for fudge but I hope somebody buys this book for you or you can by it yourself but I really hope you enjoy this book as much as I did bye.
