A Wind in the Door (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet)
By Madeleine L'Engle
A Wind in the Door, by Madeleine L’Engle is about a girl named Meg, who has a six-year-old brother named Charles Wallace. Charles Wallace thinks that he sees dragons, but it’s really a cherubim. A cherubim is a creature that looks like multiple dragons, that has lots of eyes and wings. The cherubim’s name is Progo. Charles Wallace is sick and Progo is there to help Meg make him better. Progo tells Meg that in order for her brother to get better, she has to go through three tests. The first test is that Meg has to figure out which Mr. Jenkins, who is the school principal, is the real one out of three. Then, Meg, Mr. Jenkins, and Progo go inside Charles Wallace to figure out why he is sick. Inside Charles, there are these creatures called farandolae, and Meg meets one of them that hasn't become a part of him yet, named Sporos. The second and third test is for Meg to convince Sporos to become a part of Charles Wallace. At the same time, an evil creature called an Echthroi is trying to get Sporos not to, so that Charles Wallace will die, and the universe will be destroyed. I love this book and definitely recommend it. I personally think that the first book in this series was better, but this one was great too. If you want to read this book you should read the first one before you do. Thanks!

By Tui T. Sutherland
-For123 - I love this book. It is a great book about snowfall of the icewings being a little sarcastic , But she reconsiders her choices if she's willing to risk everything. I like the book because the main character , snowfall , is pretty cool.
The 5th Wave: The Infinite Sea (Book 2)
By Rick Yancey
The Infinite Sea was okay compared to the first book which was The 5th Wave. I think the 5th Wave gave me more of a lasting impression than the Infinite Sea because I was already acquainted with most of the characters already. The book has such a haunting narrative throughout so I couldn’t help but be captivated by the plot (even though it wasn’t as good as the 5th Wave’s). The plotline is also full of action and suspense but the 2nd book is significantly shorter than the first, so I was kind of disappointed because as a reader I prefer longer books. I also like the way the author focuses on covering every plothole and answering every question through subtle hints, because that makes the reading experience even more immersive. My favorite character was Ringer, but the author is very unpredictable about his main characters as you cannot predict whether a secondary character will turn into a main character or not. Every character has a real background of their own and some of them are very relatable, and most of them have been through the same thing which are the first three waves: EM shutdown, tsunamis and the pestilence. I also learned something important from the series which is to always stick together because being a team is better than going solo, teamwork is very important.

A Snicker of Magic
By Natalie Lloyd
This book is definitely a "Snicker of Magic." The main character Felicity Pickle, who has a very special talent, goes on a spindiddly adventure with her mother, who has a wandering heart, her sister, weird but wonderful, her dog biscuit, who is a great companion, and their trusty car, the Pickled Jalapeño. They drive off to a once magical town where Felicity finally feels at home, although her mother is already planning on leaving. With the help of her newfound friend Jonah, Felicity learns to face her fears and even breaks a curse on the way. My favorite quote from the book was, "I bet there's a snicker of magic on every street, in every old building, every broken heart, every word of a story. Maybe it's hidden away and you need to look harder for it. or maybe the magic is right there right in front of you, and all you have to do is believe." I really liked the quote because it says that magic is all around us and sometimes all we really have to do is believe in it.
