This book surprised me from the very beginning! It was an excellent read, and - BONUS - it's a summer reading book! Fourteen-year-old Kendra feels abandoned when her parents leave her and eleven-year-old Seth at Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson's (who they BARELY KNOW) house while Mom and Dad go on a cruise. Mom and Dad say they won't enjoy it, but let's be honest kids, we all see through that lie. In the first couple of days there, several strange things happen. First of all, there are signs leading up to the entrance gate, the last one being the most disturbing: Certain Death Awaits. They aren't allowed to go into the woods or the barn. Dale, one his Grandpa Sorenson's few workers, leaves fresh milk in a bucket for butterflies. It turns out the playroom is only half of the attic! And what will they key-treasure-hunt lead to? When Seth gets bored and goes into the forest anyway, he discovers a witch living in a hut in the middle of nowhere. (Of course Kendra doesn't believe him-right?) When he goes back again he finds a giant hidden beautiful pond, with swans and the works! What was his Grandfather hiding? Kendra finally finds all the keys to open the mysterious journal...but it's blank? WHAT'S GOING ON? The only words are - DRINK THE MILK. Stung and hurt because she wasn't voted as carnival leader, Abby storms back home with cumulonimbus clouds in her thoughts and actions. So it's a mild reprieve when she jumps into the mirror with her brother Jonah and lands in the Princess and the Pea fairytale...kind of. This time, Abby is determined not to mess anything up. But when she's too afraid to sleep atop the hundred mattresses given to her, everyone thinks she couldn't sleep because she sensed the pea under the mattresses, and suddenly Abby's dubbed a princess! After a while, Abby starts warming up to the princess treatment - who can argue when you have people waiting on you hand and foot, after all? - but knows she must find a real princess, someone who is truly good deep inside. And so, the princess games are on! But after venturing to the dark side of the moon and back with these games, and also having to fend off a snooty prince (all in a day's work!), Abby realizes that genuine leadership means stepping aside sometimes. Beautiful, creative, and inherently funny, this wonderful fractured fairy tale by Sarah Mlynowski is not to be missed!

The Adventurers Guild is the most dangerous guild of all guilds- they guard outside the wall (There is a wall guarding the city) and fight monsters. Many adventurers die, as well. Brock, Zed, and 2 other friends get chosen to be in the guild- right when a disaster strikes. The wall has focus shards to keep monsters away, and the focus shards are expiring. They need to find the focus spell before monsters destroy the city. Will one group of friends with normal clothes and terrified looks in their face be able to save the day? Overall this is a really fun adventure book that I couldn't put down after I started reading it.

This book is about an alley cat named Aldwyn who has to hide from a bounty hunter, and he ends up in a store where Familiars are sold. Familiars are magical creatures who are basically side kicks to wizards. Jack, a young wizard in training, goes their and picks Aldwyn! They go to where he lives with a few other wizards in training, and their teacher. Aldwyn meets the other wizards familiars- Gilbert the tree frog, who has puddle viewing powers, and Skylar, a blue jay, who can cast illusions. He doesn't tell them he doesn't have powers. Then, one day, when he was beginning to share a powerful bond with jack, Kalstoff's cottage is attacked by the queen, and Kalstoff's dies, and Jack, Marriane, and Dalton are captured and the three familiars have to rescue them from the Queen's clutches. On their journey, they face many dangerous creatures and Aldwyn finds out that he has.............………. Read the book to find out! I recommend this to anyone who loves magic and adventure! 😜

Whatever After This book is amazing. It just like sleeping beauty but better. Its about Abby and her her friend. They have a sleepover and Abby's friend sleepwalks. In Abby's house there is a magic mirror when you you knock on it 3 times you go in a magical land. Abby's friend tap it 3 times and go in sleeping beauty. Abby's and her brother run after her and sleeping beauty was supposed to be pricked with a needle but Abby's friend was. Abby's friend has to be woken up by a prince in hundred years but her mom is supposed to pick her up by 10:00. Abby and her brother have to figure it out. In this book abby and jonah go in the story of cinderella and there they try not to mess up her story but ends up doing so first they end up in the ball where cinderella and the prince meet then they check the palace for a magical mirror so they can go back home but they don't find but they know that cinderella will leave at midnight so they follow her to her house to check if the magic mirror is there but they get caught jonah tell her her future but so she lets them use her house but the sisters come so they hide under their their beds the go to her at midnight and then they swell her feet and they ask fairy godmother whose name is faira to fix her Foot so the slipper fits and she doesn't have to clean for her stepfamily anymore and leave them but she told cinderella that unless she can stand on her own she won't fix her leg meanwhile kayla who got to talk to the prince and thought that he liked her but then cinderella showed up and the prince went away so kayla was moping all day long.And cinderela thought of getting a job . First she tried stitching, then she tried baking brownies and she baked four batches to make them right and Abby thought that none of the people living in flume knows what brownies are. She decided to call them Cinderella's crownies . first they get 5 dollars then they get 120 dollars but just as faira is about to zap everything back to normal but just at that moment the stepmother and beatrice and kayla burst in .and beatrice said she eavesdropped everyday and then the stepmom,betty turned kayla into a rat abby jonah and cinderella into mice and faira into a scaly lizard and when the princes advisor came to their house and betty zapped her daughters feet so the would fit the tiny shoe and then all the creature humans ran got the wand back and then prince jordan proposed to cinderella and she said no because kayla loved him more than she did and then cinderella batted her eyelashes at gary the goatee guy and then faira and jonah said that the portal to ome is the chimney and they learned that mary rose is a fairy and when they get home abby does the laundry for the first time .

in this book Abby and Jonah go in to the story of The Little Mermaid and there they meet they land on the water when she finally figures out that they're in the story of The Little Mermaid and knows what's happening she sees that that are girl in the water was carrying a man and when she saw the girl she was a mermaid the mermaid saw her too . the mermaid dropped the man to Abby and Jonah and then she left and Abby and Jonah carried the Man to the sand .and when the prince woke up he saw them and thought that they saved him they tried explaining him about the mermaid which was half fish half human .but the Prince believe it and they stayed at his castle but then the cook said that she knew one of them and she knew where they were and she can make a potion that can take them under water and let them breed there for 12 hours . that night they took a picture of the prince and his name was prince mortamir they asked her not to waste turn tail and not to waste her tongue for the legs but is .what she did when she noticed when she learned how to write from Abby about her and Prince Mortimer meeting he did not read it and meant that the lemon pie was more precious than what she wrote to him .so at The Wedding Date Lana was going to marry Prince Mortimer but she was officially a Runaway Bride Sso Abby and Jonah decide to go to the sea witch with the mermaid potion that the cook made with and they change her mind and lana does not die and they go home safely teh end

It is a b Angela far into this fall into the story of Hansel and Gretel they me Hansel and Gretel they look just like Abby and Jonah and so looks like Jonah griddle looks like a bee but then they go to the witch's house where they eat all the candy but then they they find that you may find the magic portal home but they didn't go because they switched have to being Hansel and Gretel and their story because they look identical life and then they have their dog prints the Wichita with a cat the witch made a bee make Jonah green smoothie so that he could eat her and make her eyesight better but then they eat the wall that was made a lot of sugar for 24 hours and then they got the licorice long and Olaf and licorice which was we should I plan to tie around our well-beloved which belong to Abby and Jonah who are his name was Prince actually up in a tree and then lying so that they could tired but then the police came and said that police games and he said we need to title with a lady at 1 and when they got their own out Abby and Jonah style that has been stealing their life they had they hadn't been hiding at man stealing pretending to be Abby and pretending to be Jonah that wasn't good i'm so and so they said that why did you do this and he said that we had no other choice but then they learned they were being braggy about not eating vegetables when their parents they said that they had enough sugar and they packed cookies and everything so that they could give it a chance when I'm going to go back to the story from their magic mirror and then they go back to their normal as being more grateful than ever the end

Abby and when I go into the story of Sleeping Beauty and the Beast and the Beast really likes Jonah and he says Savvy that because I pick one of his losses you get to keep doing that but he said what if I get you someone else to like so he starts looking for beauty and then but the Beast doesn't like Beauty and beauty doesn't like the Beast and then Abby says that if you do not marry then she will never turn back into a beast so she decided to marry him but then Prince went outside and started barking every followed him and saw that the person what night is Mary Willis is cousin who cursed to actually curse the Beast was there is that that you made her do what you didn't do it on her own. But then Jonah somehow got his yo-yo dinghy which made them which made everything magical and turn them back on and also got his memory back about the other fairy tales and he also got some of Mario's his memory the end

I really liked this book! In this story the main characters where actually Abby, Robin, frankie, and penny. Robin and frankie are abby's friend but NOT Penny. Well, abby and her 2 best friends are actually having a playdate at pennys mansion. So they decide to go outside and play a card game which no one but Penny wanted to do cause it's too windy. Then one of there cards fly away over the gate! So Frankie dares herself to jump over the fence and she almost gets the card but then the card actually flys into a magical rabbit hole... and Frankie acidentally jumps in too! Then it gets crazy! Abby, Penny and Robin can't find Frankie anywhere so they jump over the fence and acidentally fall into the hole too! They end up in the story of alice in wonderland! Then things get even more crazy!
