The Secrets of Solace
By Jaleigh Johnson
I read this book and it was very good. I enjoyed reading it though it was a little disappointing that there weren't characters from the Mark of the Dragonfly. I hope that there will be a third book sometime soon.

WARP Book 1 The Reluctant Assassin
By Eoin Colfer
Parents need to know that The Reluctant Assassin is the start of a new series from the author of the bestselling Artemis Fowl series, so many kids will want to read it. The publishers recommend this exhilarating time travel read for ages 12 and up, but it seems a better fit for teens who've already digested many high-action, high-violence PG-13 movies. The villain isn't the reluctant assassin -- he's very willing to kill and does it often, both for hire and for himself, with some gory detail. His assistant, 14-year-old Riley, is the reluctant one. Riley and Native American Chevie (hooray for girls in sci-fi!) face nonstop danger, including kidnapping, fighting for their lives in an arena, poisoning, and more. There's lots of talk of how they were orphaned and a view of a London slum with despair and death all around. Both Riley and Chevie are resilient characters who use serious smarts to stay ahead of the killer on their tail.

House of Secrets: Battle of the Beasts
By Chris Columbus, Ned Vizzini
While I reviewed it a few weeks ago I forgot to dive in to the details, and I think I should since it's a very fun interesting book. First I want to say thank you, second of all this book is like the Unfortunate Event series, Percy Jackson series, and a little bit with the 5th Wave. It has some in-depth knowledge into it, that keeps you in suspense, but while there is a lot going on. It was jammed with influences of nature and full packed action with some violence. I was surprised how the House of Secrets and Battle of the Beasts were a bit different, by the way it was narrated. But I reread it again and I thought Battle of the Beasts was more suited and it closed it all in with the series, than the House of Secrets. All the kids: Brendan, Cordelia, and Eleanor struggle to fit in their new school. While the wind witch is no longer there forever, but Denver Kristoff ( His name reminds me of the movie Frozen :) sorry that's what I was thinking about his last name), the dad of the wind witch, is looking for his daughter who is banished. DUN DUN DUNNNN... Bringing her back means everything will come rushing back as last time as their last adventure, but even worse...the Walker family will need protection and is no longer safe. Like they visit the Colosseum in one of Kristoff's story, and in his story if a girl saves a gladiator then she gets to marry him, which is what happened to Cordelia, she had to marry Felix, and I just started laughing. That's one of the tidbits that I thought was funny, when they were time traveling. Close to the end they say many farewell goodbyes. The Walker's also gets to know their future or a possibility of it, by the wind witch if they choose her. The wind witch officially lost everything even Brendan, Cordelia, and Eleanor when they chose the true Door of Ways, as it comes to the end the Walker family lost the money so they had to move back. They talk about how they felt and what there future might be, but there comes a little surprise, I'll give you a clue it's a sixty story giant... guess who... I had a great time devouring the pages and you SHOULD READ it!!!! Also rest in peace Ned Vizzini, your series will carry on for sure because of how well these series merged on and perfectly fitted together.
