Battle of the Bots (Robots Rule)

Battle of the Bots (Robots Rule)

By C. J. Richards

This book is about a kid named George who is a tech whiz. (Also known as Robot Boy, his friend Anne's nickname for him). George lives in the small town of Terabyte Heights, and in the past books, evil Dr. Micron has turned the citizen's robots into crazed killers, and turned MOD devices into deadly mind control machines. But George put him in jail. And all was good. Except that George's parents are still stuck in project Mercury, and that all the citizens were abandoning their robots to George's uncle's junkyard, because they didn't think that the robots were safe anymore. But when George convinces himself that it is the right choice to help Micron and in return get his parents back, he does not know how much trouble he will get himself into. If you like high tech, and battle's, (the battle is at the end) then you will LOVE this book! My favorite character is Anne because of her care to make George decide what the right decisions for important things are. I think the message for this story is ''think of others before yourself.'' I hope you enjoy this book!!! I definitely did!

I love the way this series twists the story and you just barley don't see it coming. I keep liking this story more and the more I read. This book is crazy, creepy, and sappy. I love this book.

Ensnared (Splintered Series #3): Splintered Book Three

By A. G. Howard

Ensnared answers some wonderful questions left hanging in the earlier books of the series. Of course now I can't wait for A.G. Howard's 4th novel. This is a great read for high school students!

Infinity Ring Book 4: Curse of the Ancients

Infinity Ring Book 4: Curse of the Ancients

By Matt De La Pena, Matt de la Peña

Dak, Riq and Sera have just travelled to the age of the Maya people, in the middle of a storm. After something life-threatening happens to Dak while trying to save a little girl, it is up to Riq, Sera and their new friend Kira to figure out the Great Break. But something feels wrong: as if they are in the wrong year. Will Riq and Sera find and fix the Great Break, And will they be successful on their newest mission? In a wonderful installment of the Infinity Ring series, Matt De La Peña keeps you hooked with great action. What I thought about it: I really enjoyed this book. I thought Matt De La Peña's writing was great, and the story was very exciting. The cover is fantastic, and Matt De La Peña really made me visualize the story well. Time-travel is just so awesome! I would TOTALLY want to do that. I also love the story arc for the series, fixing problems in history so things will be right. So far, all of the other Infinity Ring books have captivated me, and I bet the rest will too. I loved this book, and I can not wait for the next one. The Game: Sleeping Warrior, the online game for this book was pretty fun. It was short, but enjoyable. I think those Hystorian Guides are so cool. The map didn't help a lot for this Great Break, and I didn't really look at it. Regardless, the game was pretty good. I think Scholastic does a great job with the Great Breaks and with the 39 Clues missions as well. The Glass Castle (Thirteen)

The Glass Castle (Thirteen)

By Trisha Priebe, Jerry B. Jenkins

Avery is celebrating her 13th birthday. She and her brother are in the woods on the way home to their father when they are suddenly kidnapped. Avery is taken to a strange castle where a huge group of 13 year-olds are hidden, their presence unknown to the adults. The kids secretly run the castle, and have their own court system on the side of their castle. Many mysteries surround the castle, and the children hiding there. One of the secrets is that the siblings of the children are hidden, so the 13 year olds will stay in the castle. But the king is growing old and his new wife wants to produce an heir to the throne. But the king had a son 13 years ago by his first wife, and no one knows what happened to him. His new wife's solution is to rid the kingdom of all 13 year-olds. But Avery and her friends are ready to fight. Avery, Kate, Tuck, and Kendrick are in charge of the network of kidnapped children, determined to get back to their homes and families. But in every kingdom there are problems. And in this castle secrets are around every corner. Who can Avery trust? I liked in this book that there was a mystery around every corner, and many twists and turns. I liked that the plot was kind of a puzzle, and the authors kept you guessing. I also liked that there were little Bible verses, and lessons within the story. This is one of my favorite books ever! Let me just put it this way-I finished the book and then picked it up to read it all over again! This book has earned a place on my honorary bookshelf. I am dying to read the next one. The sooner the better Miss Trisha and Mr. Jerry! Fall 2016 seems like forever away! I recommend this book to fantasy lovers. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
