The story continues after Leviathan. Now, Alek is aboard the British ship after he and his men helped to fix it. They go to the Ottoman empire, where Alek decides to escape and then, he plots a rebellion against the Sultan, because he wants to strike a blow against the Germans. The main characters ran into lots of adventures. Deryn, was sent on a mission to destroy a weapon that the Ottomans created, and the rest of her team was captured and killed but she survived. I liked the book, my favorite part is at the start, when Alek uses spices to attack the German spy, and it works.

I think this book could get anyone into anime/manga and can help anyone who has that friend who insists it's all for kids or violent X-rated stuff. Highly, highly recommended, it's frogging hilarious! It always flies off the shelves at my local library!

This have more action than the fist one.In this book, there a new character that got into the x-man team.The thing that I don't understand about the woman name Emma, it like she don't have powers.

Every time the book continue the series (like the vol. of the book is book 1,2,3,4,5,................., you know), the action increase and it is exciting.I do not recommend this book for young kids(only like teen or young adults).

arg it has a lot of rough spots so far so i don't know if i should recommend it it is about 600 pages and i'm on like 200 but in the very beginning it really plays with your emotions i bawled

I love this book because it just makes you want to keep on turning the pages. Once I read this book at a fine dining restaurant and I hid it underneath my shirt so I could take it there. This book has a lot of suspense and you can really relate to the story. What makes it great is that you feel like you are actually there and you feel what the boy in the story felt.As Eoin Colfer said, "It flies along like a laser beam from a blaster and sustains the breakneck speed until the amazing climax"
