And let's not forget Tommy and Freedom. They're just regular kids in Rush's history class who happen to figure out Rush and Freedom's time traveling secret. When they get to the Mayflower, they are blown away. WOW, was life hard! Reading the story is like actually being there, and you get the full scoop about how life was like back then. And the first Thanksgiving is really cool, too! This book is DEFINITELY NOT your traditional history book, and also DEFINITELY NOT boring!! Written by highly rated national radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, this book is a refreshing take on important events in the USA's history! I highly recommend this book to ages 7+ and rate it 4/5 stars.

Set in Jamaica, this story alternates between a boy and his grandfather, who had left to fish away from the shore. However, the grandfather does not return and the boy sets at out to find him, believing that he is lost at sea. This story sheds light on illegal fishing in the Caribbean Sea and the ordinary lives of the fisherman of Jamaica.

It has been ranked as one of the books with the most surprising endings, and it totally lives up to it! It's the perfect scary mystery for anyone.

I have not finished this book, but I rated it four stars because I am really liking it so far. There is a lot of suspense, and mystery too. It is a very good book so far, and I am exited to read the rest and finish it!

I grabbed this book from the shelf at my library because the title was captivating and it was a Junior Library Guild Selection. It had to good, right? Wrong. This book turned out to be a sore disappointment. It follows the stories of three "littlepoors", who are tiny, about the size of a rat, and poor, named Warner, Prayer, and Usher. Warner and Prayer are siblings whose dad has recently died from being stepped on by a cat, and whose Mom is severely injured. They end up leaving their littlepoor neighborhood, attempting to "scale up" (get bigger by getting more munmun). They go on many adventures and change sizes several times. I stopped about halfway through because I got really bored, and I didn't want to know what other trash was in the middle. I skipped to the end, and the end was not very well written either. Overall, the book may be "a powerful look at wealth and class", but it's also boring, badly written, and not worth your time.
