Gods and Warriors by Michelle Paver is a exciting book set in Ancient Greece, when Mycane and Crete were ruling the part of the world. The main character, a young goatherd named Hylas, is an orphan and is forced to take care of the village’s goats- against his will. He is forever an Outsider, as he has been branded, and his life gets worse. His friends and sister are attacked by strange warriors set on killing all of the Outsiders. In the midst of the battle, his dog is killed, his sister slips away and he runs off- with an arrow embedded in his arm. This sets the tone of an action-packed book filled with fights, near death and cliff hangers at every chapter. This book takes place in everywhere from the sea, islands, caves and temples. It brings you places from all over, through the eyes of a young boy and girl. The girl, Pirra, is the High Priestess daughter, who escaped from the temple and made her way to the island. Pirra and Hylas team up to find a way off the abandoned island. Along the way, Hylas ends up with a dagger that is very important- and the strange warriors, known as Crows, want it. He and Pirra have to fight their way off an island against the best warriors in the country. The plot thickens, as several characters allegiances seem to change and unknown stories are revealed in the waning moments of a great first book of the series. Michelle Paver brings to life an ancient world, and describes each moment vividly, painting an incredibly realistic picture in your head, and the action is so well explained, it’s like you’re standing in the middle of it. The strength of this book is the plotline. It’s like a roller coaster at Six Flags- the story seems to change instantly, but very smoothly. The strength is also a weakness, however. The plotline is so complex that is easy to become lost and confused. If you miss a key part- you will have no clue what’s going on. That is one of the few things I didn’t like about this book- it is tough to just casually read it, you have to be really into it. Other than that, I think it was a very good book and it ended with a question that will have to be answered in the next installment. I would recommend this to fans of Percy Jackson because it is a lot alike- just set a really long time ago. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next book in this series.

The Rule of Three Is A Good Start to A Trilogy Hello this is a review to a great book called The Rule of Three. The author to this book is Eric Walters. The genre of this book is action and adventure. The Rule of Three is a story about a post apocalypse after all electronics go out. Now, I know what you're thinking, isn't that just a power outage, actually it is not, because every electronic goes out including, phones, cars, and planes. The first question I had while reading this book is why is the book called The Rule of Three. The reason the book is called that is, a human can only last on average, 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food. Now that I have explained why the book is titled why it is I can summaries the story. One day at 16 year old Adam Daley's high school he was typing an essay the power goes out. Everybody is complaining that they did not save their essay, while Adam is wondering why his laptop also went out at the same time. School was dismissed early and Adam and his friend Todd went to Adams old car. But it was struggling to turn on. But in a flash it did. Adam and Todd were surprised because everyone elses car was not working. So Adam and Todd drove home but, only a few cars were working, and all of them were old. Just as they were about to reach Todds house, a huge, storm comes, what is happening. This was a great book but I feel they took a big break in between action parts. For example Adam his mom and a cop break through a window in a car to get food. But we have to wait about 80 pages to hear about the next action event. Reading this book was fun and I can't wait to read the next one.

This story reminded me of me and my friends. Time travel stories are awesome and I thought this one was funny and I pictured me and my friends taking this trip back in time. Roy was my favorite kid. I would recomend this book, and have told my friends to read it.

I really liked this book because now they actually have a whole new problem in their hands. I liked how Horowitz made it so that there were actually two twins and a lot of the book was also in their perspectives (mostly the smaller twin, Jamie). What happens is that the two twins get kidnapped by a company called Nightrise, and they are supporting the old ones (main enemies). So that's a whole organization against the five. The smaller twin, Jamie manages to escape but the older one Scott gets caught and the book is mainly about Jamie trying to get Scott. Their telepathic power also stops working for a long time because of the distance between the two. I thought it was an amazing great book and I just couldn't put it down.

i thought this book was a very well written and exiting book for everyone to enjoy. i really liked the first 4 books but this one is by far my favorite book out of the series it is a must read if u are into the series.

I love this series!

This was WAY better than the third book. Otis and Nelly plan to get married! Vlad's father's journal has mysteriously disappeared. Vlad struggles with his relationships with Meredith and Snow, the trial awaiting Otis, and guess who's back in town?? JOSS! It's a plot that's against Vlad at all odds. Can he make it out alive? The end will leave you gasping! (Literally. I was like "WHAT? DID NOT SEE THAT COMING?" And trust me you won't until you read it! And read the last page! But not until you read the rest! If you like scary, read this book. I read half of it, and it totally freaked me out! I had nightmares for the rest of the week. If you like horror, read it. Also, please follow me. Peace

It's a great book with romance and fight a bit. You should read it it great. Its has a lot of drama. It made me cry a little. I think her books are great and maybe i litke to meet her someday.
