Dark Secrets: The Back Door of Midnight

Dark Secrets: The Back Door of Midnight

By Elizabeth Chandler

This book was suspenseful, thrilling, and ultimately an amazing read! I was hooked until the very last page. In this story, a teenager named Anna goes to visit her uncle in the small town of Wisteria. However, when she gets there, she finds out her uncle is murdered, and that the only person living in his old, abandoned house is her psychotic Aunt Iris. Anna then tries to solve her uncle's murder, and also find out the truth about her family. Some of my favorite things about this book (there were many!) were the detailed setting of the creepy-yet-alluring town of Wisteria and the fact that Anna struggled with many real problems that a teenage girl would have as she tried to solve the murder. This book is a great read, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in mystery, horror, and realistic fiction.

The Burning Bridge (Ranger's Apprentice, Book 2)

The Burning Bridge (Ranger's Apprentice, Book 2)

By John A. Flanagan

Amazing book! This has become my favorite series of all time! (I read the first 8 books in the summer of 2017 and I LOVED them!!) Rangers are SO cool - literally, my dream job!! Book 1, 2, and 7 are my favorites so far in the series (I still haven't finished) but I really REALLY love them!* Summary: Morgarath, Lord of the Mountains of Rain and Night, formerly exiled from the Kingdom of Araluen, is ready to make his move. After Ranger Halt and his apprentice Will have defeated the Kalkara, Morgarath has nothing left than to bring his army of Wargals down from the mountains. But... How will they get across? A bridge, of course. As the army builds a bridge across the pass, from mountains to the valley, it is now Will's mission to destroy the bridge. With Halt, Horace, and a mysterious girl Evanlyn, Will must destroy the bridge to stop the Wargal army from crossing it. Can he? And can he do it alone? * This book ends in a such a surprising way I almost screamed and cried and laughed all at once. As soon as I read the last word I rushed to my bedroom and grabbed the third book and I did not put down that series until I was till Book 5...(where I took a 10 second break)... and now I'm still reading it!! I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!

13 Treasures (13 Treasures Trilogy)

13 Treasures (13 Treasures Trilogy)

By Michelle Harrison

The book is a capturing story with many plot twists. It has adventure and feeling. I strongly recommend this book to anyone. It has lots of adventure, mystery, and hidden clues. It does not seem good at first but as the story goes on you cannot put it down. The story is about a girl named Tanya who can see fairies, evil fairies. As she spends some time in her grandmother's house, She goes on many adventures with Fabian( the boy next door). They dig deep into a mystery of how a girl went missing 50 years ago in the woods, Will Tanya be the next one to disappear?

Dragon Ball, Vol. 1

Dragon Ball, Vol. 1

By Akira Toriyama

This book is okay and I still like it, but I don't like it too much. Its about these 2 people searching places to get dragon balls. If you get all 7, the Dragon King appear and grant you one wish.

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments)

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments)

By Cassandra Clare

After reading City Of Bones, I can't help but pick up this book and read it. I really like how the author made the realationships complicated so that conflict was happening in the book. Every chapter of the story is either exciting or heartwarming. The characters were well deleveloped during this book and everyone finally started to get along. The big change that happened in this story was shocking. I strongly recommend this book to readers who like angels and demons and all those vampire, wearwolf stuff. This series fits for both boys and girls since there is both romance and fightings in the story.

Night Night, Groot

This book is weird. It is a bedtime story. Also, it is a board book. I would recommend it for ages 1-3 but others can read it too!😀

Alcatraz #1: Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians

Alcatraz #1: Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians

By Brandon Sanderson

This book is creative. It is also a little interesting. It is about a 13-year old boy who is a klutz. He finds out he has a special talent after he gets a package of strange sands(yes, sands) for a birthday present. He meets other people with strange talents like his. One of the weird people that he meets is his grandfather. His grandfather is a little crazy and somehow convinces Alcatraz that he lives in a world controlle d by evil librarians. They go on a somewhat wild adventure after the sands that he got for his birthday get stolen by the librarians. Overall, this book is a cool but somewhat confusing. I hope you found this review helpful. Have a nice week!
