The Secret Life of Copernicus H. Stringfellow

The Secret Life of Copernicus H. Stringfellow

By Lorin Barber

Very funny, exciting, and a good plot. My great uncle wrote it, he signed it, and he told me there will be a sequel where the main character battles Bigfoot. Everyone will love this book!

A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird)

A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird)

By Claudia Gray

This book has a beautiful cover and a cool subject for its plot. I won't go any further into detail as I don't want to spoil anything, but I really liked it! However, I don't think that younger kids (as in 6th grade and younger) should read this book because there is one scene in here that is not appropriate. It's a good read, though!

One day, he takes her to a strange, scary place called the Dark Forest...which is where cats who have been evil in their lives go. Disgusted and angry, Spottedpaw vows to never interact with Thistleclaw again. After seeing his display of violence, she decides to become a medicine cat instead of a warrior, dedicated to healing the cats of ThunderClan...but learning the skills she needs comes with a price. Can she do it? Read this book to find out! Pinestar’s choice: Pinestar is the leader of his Clan...now faced with an agonizing decision. Should he stay with the cats he has known for all his life? But how can he abandon everyone, especially at a time of trouble? His mate, Leopardfoot. His son and daughters, Tigerkit, Mistkit, and Nightkit—how can he leave them all? Soon, Pinestar realizes he can be dependent on others feeding him like a house cat, but return to his Clan at just the right time. Will it work? Maybe, maybe not. Read this book to find out! Thunderstar’s Echo: In the earliest days of the Clans, when the big groups of wild cats were nothing more than a band of former loners, a young leader named Thunderstar must face a terrible threat. And to make things harder, his friends have become his rivals! The other leaders, Riverstar, Windstar, Shadowstar, and Skystar, used to be his close friends, but now, he must think of them as enemies. Weighed down by all these problems, Thunderstar must do what it takes to be a good leader—not only for his Clan, but for the kin he has in other Clans, too. Is he up to the challenge? The Music of Dolphins

The Music of Dolphins

By Karen Hesse

It was a very clever book. I like it because a girl was in danger since she was living with dolphins in the water and she doesn't want to come out. Someone saves her and teaches her how to speak. She explores everything she can. At the end, she goes back with the dolphins.

The Shadow Throne (Ascendance Trilogy)

The Shadow Throne (Ascendance Trilogy)

By Jennifer A. Nielsen

A great book with a lot of twists and turns that leads you on a rollercoaster ride where you don't know what's happening half of the time (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). King Jaron is at war. All the surrounding countries want his land and his wealth, but he will give them his life to stop them. An excellent book that feels like it fixes up all the things that felt uncomfortable in the previous book. Though the book is stationary in this genre it still is an excellent book. Though it feels a bit forced at times, still an awesome book.
