Coin Heist

Coin Heist

By Elisa Ludwig

This seems like a really interesting book!!! I like comedic books so I guess this will be good for me. It reminds me of a lot of Gordon Korman's books. Zoobreak, Framed, Swindle, Showoff, just to name a few. Does anyone know when this book is coming out? And on behalf of my fellow bookworms... OMG I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Crookedstar's Promise (Warriors Super)

Crookedstar's Promise (Warriors Super)

By Erin Hunter

Crookedstar's Promise is a book to behold. It was, like, the third super edition I read. Who ever knew such a tiny, little promise could destroy you? If you like cats, adventure, drama, and all the like, Crookedstar's Promise is a book for you. You need a basic understanding of the Warriors World to get it, though. Not a Warriors fan? Read Into the Wild by Erin Hunter!

Eleven Eleven

Eleven Eleven

By Paul Dowswell

CC

Set in the scene of world war one, three men take on war, one an American airman, another a British Tommy and the last a German storm trooper. Eleven Eleven seemed a bit plotless and all over the place. The first few chapters were confusing since it's based off of three different views it was hard to remember who was who. It's critical to have the first few chapters hold the readers attention and be interesting since that's how readers base whether or not they'd like to read the rest of the book I personally would have put the book down. The best part of the book I felt were the last few chapters, though I felt it wasn't that great either way. I would say this book is for younger readers who want to find out more about the war in a simplified version and I would recommend it to people who are more interested in revolution and war.

Scott Westerfeld: Leviathan Trilogy: Leviathan; Behemoth; Goliath (The Leviathan Trilogy)

Scott Westerfeld: Leviathan Trilogy: Leviathan; Behemoth; Goliath (The Leviathan Trilogy)

By Scott Westerfeld

I recently read the book Leviathan and I loved it. The book was recommended to me by my teacher and I am really glad she did. The story is a two sided story about a prince who had to run away from home and a girl disguised as a boy in order to be a soldier. They both lost their parents and have no where to turn but end up together in the midst of battle. One of my most favorite parts was when one of the characters told the main character he really could inherit the throne and could have his life back and reading how the character really feels like actually going back out and finding a meaning in life again. A connection I had with the book was when I found out one of the soldiers was a girl but had to dress up like a guy, it reminded me of the movie Mulan. I recommend the book to people who like daring adventure with plot twists and unexpected trouble. Leviathan will keep you on your toes right up until the end.

Millions (BCCB Blue Ribbon Fiction Books (Awards))

Millions (BCCB Blue Ribbon Fiction Books (Awards))

By Frank Cottrell Boyce

This book is about two kids receive a bag of money from nowhere, and they only have a 2 weeks to spend them all before the money loses its value. I chose this book because I did not know what will happen to two boys if they got a million dollars to spend, and it is very interesting for me to read. The main character in this book were Damian and Anthony. Damian was Anthony's little brother, and Damian believed in saints a lot. Damian was talking about saints all the time. Anthony was Damian’s big brother, and he liked fashion things, such as toys and shoes. The major problem in the book was people were asking them to give out money, and there was a group of robbers coming for the money. My favorite character in this book was Anthony. Anthony was very mature, and he knew how to spend and handle the money. Unlike Anthony, Damian wanted to help poor people, but he used the wrong way. My favorite part of the story was when Damian and Anthony went to school and everyone were asking them to give them money in exchange of their toys. My least favorite part of the story was when Damian started talking about saints, and it just took forever for him to finish that without someone else in the book started a new topic. I recommended this book for people that likes to see how will people reacts in different situations, and guessing what will happen next in the story.
