This book is called Sherlock Holmes:Snake Bite and it is by Andrew Lane. This book is about Sherlock Holmes who has to battle a vicious storm and a band of violent pirates that are in only in for their own good. The antagonist The Paradol Chamber decides to kidnap him. Then put him on a cargo ship that is bound to Shanghai,China. Which gets attacked by a band of pirates and gets hit by a tropical storm. Then halfway through stop at an island to pick up cargo. Along with a suspicious Dutchman who has some interesting cargo. But the protagonist Sherlock Holmes manages to survive both of the vicious events. Guardian (Proxy)
By Alex London
The author, Alex London changes everyone's predictions on how many people thought the “Proxy” trilogy was going to end. Alex adds a twist and turn at every corner making this book an outstanding book. This book is a great dystopian book and I also would rate this five out of five stars for many reasons. The main characters in “Guardian” are Syd, Liam, Marie, and Cousin. Syd, the protagonist, is the most important person in the revolution, without him, there wouldn't be a revolution. Throughout the book Syd is a hope for the people. Liam the bodyguard of Syd always tries to save Syd throughout the book. He also kills people with his iron fist. Marie was a rich patron before the revolution but because she helped Syd her parents weren't executed and she became a purifier. Cousin, the antagonist of the story, is a mysterious person, no one knows where he came from or who he really is. The setting is in old Detroit and about six months after Syd destroyed the system, a new government formed. In the beginning we meet the characters and find out about the disease. Near the middle the people start getting infected. Near the end Syd finds out something that changes everything about this disease. To find out what happened you have read the book. I rated this book a five out of five because “Guardian” is filled with different outcomes that you wouldn't expect. Another reason I gave it a five out five is because you can tell how the character feels at different points of the story and Alex London did that well. The type of reader that would like this book are people that love action packed books.
Tree House Mystery (The Boxcar Children Mysteries Book 14)
By Gertrude C. Warner
This book was so interesting because the suspense when Benny found the hidden room was really high, so I couldn't stop reading it at bedtime! I wonder why the woman didn't want children playing with Willy's toys. It was cool how Benny found the telescope too. Read to find out more!

Illusive
By Emily Lloyd-Jones
Ciere is 17. And she is a criminal. Ciere is one of the few people who got weird side effects from Praevenir, an antidote to the MK virus. She is an illusionist, who can make herself or her surroundings change their appearance. The 0.03% of people with side effects are being hunted by the government, and they must find ways to survive. After a bank robbery, member of the Gyr Syndicate, Brandt Guntram, threatens to tip her to the feds. Ciere and her fellow criminals, Devon and Kit are thrown into a crazy adventure, with feds on their tail, money to acquire, a law office to rob, and someone whose name might not be Pandora Marton. In a fast, fun ride, Emily Lloyd-Jones’ debut is a great take on crime and superpowers. Illusive was a wonderful book: I saw it on Edelweiss, and snatched it up. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but I am so glad I read it. The idea and plot of this book are great; a bit reminiscent of The Incredibles, but completely different other than superpowers. I love that the characters in this book are using their powers to commit crimes instead of keeping them hidden—they are being hunted by the feds, but it’s almost like they could care less. They are having fun. The ending of this book made my heart jolt—I don’t want to spoil it though, so I am zipping my lips. There is a character in the book, Magnus, who I TOTALLY imagined in my head looking like Amos Cane from The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan, as drawn in the graphic novel. I don’t know why, but he did. I love, love, LOVE the cover of this book—just look at it! SO awesome. And the tagline is great, too. I loved this book, and you should definitely check it out!
