The story continues after Leviathan. Now, Alek is aboard the British ship after he and his men helped to fix it. They go to the Ottoman empire, where Alek decides to escape and then, he plots a rebellion against the Sultan, because he wants to strike a blow against the Germans. The main characters ran into lots of adventures. Deryn, was sent on a mission to destroy a weapon that the Ottomans created, and the rest of her team was captured and killed but she survived. I liked the book, my favorite part is at the start, when Alek uses spices to attack the German spy, and it works.

Nolan Byrd is the so called “nerd” in his school. Like everyone else his is bulled by Alvin Bixby. And like anyone who is bullied he hates it. When his favorite teacher Mr. Green assigns an assignment were the students have to become reporters Nolan know exactly who he’s doing (Alvin Bixby). While trying to sneak around as he undercover character; shredder man. He also has to try to please his dad who thinks he should do him for his report. I personally think this was a great quick read. Very humorous and attention grabbing. This story has many twist and turns you would never expect!

arg it has a lot of rough spots so far so i don't know if i should recommend it it is about 600 pages and i'm on like 200 but in the very beginning it really plays with your emotions i bawled

I loved it!!!! I recommend it to anyone who's up for adventure and unexpected turns. I liked every inch of it. This book seems like a girly book, but totally isn't. It really is a book of adventure and sailing. Great for any adventure seeker.

I love this book because it just makes you want to keep on turning the pages. Once I read this book at a fine dining restaurant and I hid it underneath my shirt so I could take it there. This book has a lot of suspense and you can really relate to the story. What makes it great is that you feel like you are actually there and you feel what the boy in the story felt.As Eoin Colfer said, "It flies along like a laser beam from a blaster and sustains the breakneck speed until the amazing climax"

Devlin Quick will solve the case of the missing page of the vandalized book at the library. But her evidence seems unreliable. Liza, her friend, only noticed a tall, suspicious man accidentally drop a knife on the floor and stuff a page from a rare book in his jacket. But she doesn't know which book it was, what page it was, and nobody except Devlin and her friend Booker believe her. It's a good thing that Devlin has used her skills she learned from her Police Commissioner mom and her friend detective to help her solve the case. The book gives interesting glimpses in the life of detectives while keeping it appropriate for kids. It touches on traits like moral courage and friendship. I give this book 5 stars.
