Theodore Boone: the Fugitive
By John Grisham
anthua
Theodore Boone: The Fugitive is the 5th (and possibly the last) book in the amazing Theodore Boone series by John Grisham. It stars a boy named Theodore Boone, who is 13. Both his parents are lawyers, and this makes Theodore want to be one too. (Spoiler Alert if you haven’t read the first book) This book is mostly about Theodore tracking down the major antagonist of the first book (and debatably the whole series) and then proving him wrong in a court of law. I feel like this book is written well and is a page-turner, although not as much as the other books. I say this because this book does have its dull moments. In particular the end of this, which I’m not going to spoil, isn’t really that interesting, nor is it that climatic. In my opinion, this is something that the other books were good at, and I hope the next book (if there is another one) will improve in this aspect. Other than that, I feel that Theodore Boone: The Fugitive is a pretty good book, full of excitement and interesting facts on lawyers. This book gets a 4 out of 5 stars from me.

The People of Sparks (Ember, Book 2)
By Jeanne DuPrau
I don't think I have ever read a book so cool as this it is mostly about Lina and Doon try to find a way to get out of the city because it is dying and they can't save it because the light are going out and there is nothing that they can do about it. Then they find the city of sparks and they are going to have a big battle to see who will take the land. 400 extra people to the small village of sparks doesn't really have enough food to feed like 752 people. Then Lina leaves and then Tick starts to get all mad and he wants to start a war even though it will work until the head building starts on fire and Doon saves Torren from catching on fire and they figure it out that the characters just really need a leader and they ned to have teamwork together. I really like this book because, just if the cover looks boring does not mean that the book is. So oin me as we read this amazing book till we finish it .
The Serpent's Secret (Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond #1)
By Sayantani DasGupta
"Neel! Help me," Kiran cried just as her head went under the river in the valley of demons. Kinranmala - nicknamed Kiran - refused to believe that her parents weren't home on her birthday. They never even went to work on her birthday. She heard someone knocking on the front door and then it to two handsome young boys. She never expected them to tell her that she was a princess and that these boys were princes or that her parents were kidnapped by dangerous creatures. Almost immediately, Kiran sets off on an adventure of a lifetime. After a series of killing monsters finally reaches her parents saving them just in time. But in the process, one of the poor brothers, Lal, went missing into the unknown. Will Prince Neel and Princess Kiran be able to bring him back? Sayantani DasGupta's The Serpent's Secret is an amazing combination of Soman Chainani's The School of Good and Evil and Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus series. You will be internally screaming and tearing your hair out at every turn just when you think things are getting better. Overall, this book earns an A for romance and everything beyond that.

I Survived the Children’s Blizzard, 1888 (I Survived #16)
By Lauren Tarshis
“A deadly blizzard raged across the prairie, and eleven-year-old John Hale was trapped in a frozen nightmare.” I Survived; The Children’s Blizzard, 1888 is a beautiful masterpiece. I am a huge fan of Historical Fiction. Give me anything Historical fiction and I will surely read it on the spot. The I Survived series in particular is made up of many children that survived historical disasters. This I Survived book is 108 pages long. It was a quick read for me, probably took me a day to finish. After I read this novel, it got me interested in The Children’s Blizzard. And, WOW, people actually made houses out of mud! ***CHARACTERS*** John- John’s life is pretty dang interesting. What I really like is that even though John isn’t necessarily a real person, but someone his age actually experienced what he did. And who knows? Maybe the real kid’s name is John Hale. Oh! And how can I forget when John is looking for his little sister, Franny, in the cold? That was heart-breaking, and it got me on the edge of my seat. ***SETTING*** I ADORE the detail in the setting so much! It is just so interesting to see how people actually lived in 1888. It is even more interesting to see how young children actually survived a brutal snow storm. In all, I really liked this book. I am sure now that I will read every I Survived novel. Lauren Tarshis’s writing is accurate and enjoyable! Five stars from me! I received this copy of I Survived; The Children’s Blizzard, 1888 from DogoBooks, this has not influenced my opinion.
