The Wild Robot

The Wild Robot

By Peter Brown

This is a great book that has been a great experience reading. I have learned a lot about Roz and how she lives which is fascinating, considering the fact that it's very unlikely this would happen to a real robot. It's cool she adopts the son named Brightbird after accidentally killing the entire family. And she meets a lot of friends like Loudwing and Fink. I really like this story and I am only on chapter 30. i can't wait to read the rest of the book Typed by:burgerbang/rofydygokyko

Miss Suzy

Miss Suzy

By Miriam Young

This is about a squirrel named Miss Suzy.... She is cleaning her little tree house, when squirrel bandits, chase her out of her little home. She finds a toy house, and cleans it up, and finds little toy soldiers, abiding there. They all live together, she as their mother, and they grow to love her, as their dear Miss Suzy. She tells them stories, that they listen attentively to, enjoying each word, some sad, some happy, and all in between. Finally one day, they come to find her crying, and they ask, "Why?" She explains that she misses her home, so the little toy soldiers, all worrying so, all join together, to go outside, to chase out the squirrels, who chased out their mother. They go back home, to dear Miss Suzy, and when they tell her, she is oh so grateful. She goes back home, to her little tree house, and with weeping eyes, they all say goodbye. But before they depart, dear Miss Suzy tells them to, "Come again." With her chestnut broom, and firefly lamp, she cleans up the mess, the mean squirrels made, and when she lies in her bed, in her old oak tree, the tree sways like it did, as she watches the stars... Just like she always did, in her dear little house.

The Warden and the Wolf King (The Wingfeather Saga)

The Warden and the Wolf King (The Wingfeather Saga)

By Andrew Peterson

Oh my goodness guys there is no possible way i can recommend this book enough!! This book is a book from the Wingfeather Saga book series and my favorite book of all time. It is so full of adventure and is often a roller-coaster of emotions (if you are an emotional person, this book will make you cry!). In this book Janner and his brother are separated from their family (on purpose) mostly due to Kalmar's "terrible secret". Leeli stays in the Hollows and helps the people there the best she can through the power of her music. Meanwhile in Skree, Sarah Cobbler, Maraly, Gammon, and Arthrum are helping orphans from the fork factory find there parents, but there's just one problem: why can't they find Sarah's? Will Janner and Kalmar make it on their jorney? Will Leeli's music be enough? What if Sarah Cobbler never finds her parents? The only part I would say I don't like about this book is it's bittersweet end (it's a little more bitter than sweet). I hope you found this review helpful!!

Bad Dad

Bad Dad

By David Walliams

This is a funny story about Frank, and his dad, Gilbert who is a former race car champion. When Gilbert ends up in prison because of a robbery, Frank sets out on a wild mission to break him out and fix everything. Along the way, they face mean villains and lots of surprises. The book is very interesting! In the book there are cool illustrations. This story will make you laugh A LOT! I recommend this book to 8 to 11 years old.

Paper Towns

Paper Towns

By John Green

Had I not read Looking for Alaska before this, I would've given this book five stars. The reason being is that the characters are very similar. A deep, different and beautiful girl who has an otherwise unremarkable guy wrapped around her finger. The girl gets him to go out of his comfort zone, leading to all sorts of adventures. But both books have this sort of 'no way this is happened' vibe, when the settings and events are completely ordinary, yet somehow John Green twists it in with a summer-love feel that is like a hazy memory at best. Or at least, that's how it is up until the end. But, to avoid spoilers, let's just say that the quote, "You don't love me, you love the idea of me," is very fitting.

Pegasus: The Flame Of Olympus

Pegasus: The Flame Of Olympus

By Kate O'Hearn

This book rotates chapters between characters, creating a want to keep reading to find out what is happening to the other characters, Paelen, Emma, Joel, and Pegasus. Each rotation between Paelean and the others, create a story, that truly grasps the reader. The story begins with a war going on in Olympus, which has caused a powerful, aggressive storm on Earth. Emergency responders are stuck on duty, including Emma's father, a police officer... Amid the war, Hermes dies in the fighting. In his final moments, he passes on his winged sandals to Paelen, who tries to deny them, but Hermes insists, which finally persuades him, and finally accepts them after Hermes passes away. Using the sandals, Paelen escapes the yelling Nirads by flying above them, as they try to shoot him down with their spears. Arriving at the heart of the battle, where more Nirads are attempting to extinguish the Vestal Flame, Paelen encounters Pegasus and attempts to remove his golden bridle, which consequently attracts lighting, knocking them both unconscious, pushing them down onto Earth. When they awake, one finds themself in a hospital, while the other ends up quite literally, stuck in a rose bush, on top of Emma's and her father's apartment. Emma hears the bang of Pegasus landing but tells herself it's most likely her deceased mother's garden shed falling over but finally convinces herself to go up. When she makes it up the stairs, she finds Pegasus. She tries to help him out, but scratches herself, in the act. After a moment, Pegasus has been freed, but she gets kicked and goes unconscious. After waking up, she notices two more injuries on poor Pegasus. A spear Stuck in his wing and a broken bone. Returning to her apartment, trying to get the creams and salves — her father used on her mother's bed sores during her fight with cancer, which is how she died —, along with ice cream for herself, and vegetables for the "horse." Surprising Emma, Pegasus insists on eating the ice cream instead of the vegetables, forcing Emma to eat them herself. Soon after, Emma is wondering how she is going to help Pegasus, she doesn't know how to set his wing, nor is strong enough to pull out the spear on her own. Finally, she comes to the conclusion, that as much as she doesn't want to, she has to ask Joel, her school bully, to help her. After all, he's always drawing pictures of Pegasus... At the hospital, Emma's father has been called in. Paelen has awoken and is healing fast, surprising the doctor, but there will be more to surprise him, after his blood test results come back. Paelen is careful about revealing to much information, but accidentally reveals too much, making him seem crazy, which doesn't surprise them too much, since he was suspected to have been at a costume party, sat to close to the window, got struck by lightning, and fell out.... After the test results come back, with a very much concerned nurse, due to them, Emma's father is sent home, since they had to call the CRU (Central Research Unit), who of which deal with rare phenomena, including UFO's...

The Prince Warriors

The Prince Warriors

By Priscilla Shirer, Gina Detwiler

This book was very entertaining! I could re-read this book a thousand times and still not be tired of it. I have not read the other books, but I plan on doing it. This book was an amazing fictional story, but it is not all fictional. All the "Instructions" are from the Bible, that's right, they are all bible verses! It has a great example on the real world, and I HIGHLY recommend! (Oh, and by the way, it is something your whole family can read) I LOVE THIS BOOK! The authors did amazing!
