Titanic

Titanic

This is a wonderful little book! I think it was meant for a younger audience, which I didn't realise when I picked it up, but it's just as interesting for adults. I've read loads about the Titanic and I still learned new things from this book. I liked the way it was laid out. A page or two about the ship, then a page about menus on board or the people who traveled, then the ship again and so on. Made it very easy to read. It gave lists of what was loaded on to the ship for the voyage and this was fascinating, '40 tonnes of potatoes', holy moly!! There are also some nice little sketches interspersed throughout. Very interesting and sad! It's a lovely edition to have on your bookshelves too.

Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot Vs. The Uranium Unicorns From Uranus (Ricky Ricotta #7)

Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot Vs. The Uranium Unicorns From Uranus (Ricky Ricotta #7)

By Dav Pilkey

In my opinion, I really liked this book. One reason why is it is about a robot and the people are animals . Another reason why is its a action storie about a robot fighting bad guys. The last reason why is it has a lot of books in the series . My favorite part is when the bad guys get in trouble. You might like this book if you like sci-fi books with robots. You should read this book because it has a big series and its about robots .

The Adventures of Ook and Gluk, Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future (Captain Underpants)

The Adventures of Ook and Gluk, Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future (Captain Underpants)

By Dav Pilkey

This book is funny just as "Super Diaper Baby"! It does have misspelling like the others, but still a very hilarious story. I short brief reflection: It's about two cave kids that eventually go in the future and learn Kung-Fu from a old man. I really enjoy that it has different shapes of the characters. Something else is that it has flip-o-ramas (like most Dav Pilkey stories). The end also has a add that says a second book! I haven't seen the book yet, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for it!! I do hope you can read it if you want to! Again, it was funny and awesome!!!

Legends of Zita the Spacegirl

Everyone is so happy about Zita saving the world 🌎 that they all want to see her.so one morning she comes out of her house and she tells everyone hi and all of that stuff but after she does that she sees a robot that looks just like her .And she is tired of everyone being so excited about nothing so she tells the robot that looks like her to switch places with her and the robot does it.it turns out the robot takes over her and no one even knows because they think the robot Zita is Zita 😮 long story -short .everyone figures out that the robot is not Zita .now I'm not going to spoil anything else because it is way to good of a book to spoil!I recommend to 10 to 13 year olds and I rate this book 4/5 stars (what stinks for me is the next one is not at my library!! 😥😥😥😥 ) 😁 😁 -Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

Abduction!

Abduction!

By Peg Kehret

Would you go into a car if he had a loved one? This left 6 year old matt in crisis because he either got into the car with a stranger that had his dog or go back to his class and get help. I advise kids who are 10 or 11 to read this book because it is good and has high suspense and it tells you that you should never go into cars with strangers no matter what. Matt leaves his kindergarten class for a quick trip to the bathroom he never imagines that he will be in a stranger’s car going to an unfamiliar place. The stranger keeps him at his house for days until a miracle happened. I recommend this book to all kids that can read it.

Sparrow Rising (Skyborn #1)

Sparrow Rising (Skyborn #1)

By Khoury, Jessica

I will be recommending this middle grade fantasy book to everyone and can't wait for book two! The world building is some of the best I've ever encountered; the author created a fantasy world that never pulled me out or stopped me from believing that these human-like characters born with wings weren't real. And speaking of characters, these all popped off the pages and I soared with them, following their adventures and flights into danger. Each character is unique, well-fleshed out with flaws and motivations and pasts. I felt the pacing was perfect and I never wanted to stop reading. Every action and word and thought propelled the story forward and I never felt the plot dragging. Overall, this is an amazing middle grade fantasy with the perfect amount of suspense and danger. The friendships felt like found family and I can't wait to fly with Ellie, Nox, Twig, and Gussie again.

Unbirthday: A Twisted Tale

Unbirthday: A Twisted Tale

By Liz Braswell

Everyone has been RAVING about this series, and I figured: I love fairy tales, I love Disney and I love Alice in Wonderland, so why not? I wasn't as enchanted with this book as I had hoped. It was a really cool re-telling/addition to Alice in Wonderland's lore, but it just didn't hit all the right chords with me. Let me explain: 1. This book is 500 pages long. It is WAY longer than it needed to be and droned on at times. That made this book super slow, and I am a fast paced kind of reader. 2. The Queen's executions and property stealing seemed random yet planned. I don't know why, but that part of the story kind of threw me off. It was weird. And we didn't even get to see too much of her... 3. The plot didn't grab my attention, if I'm being honest. What I did enjoy: 1. Katz was a cool character. Alice having a love interest was new and very intriguing! I have to admit, I kind of liked it? Especially since this book didn't go full romance either. Just cute plot suggestions to add to her story. 2. Alice is a strong female lead with likes and dislikes and hobbies. I like that. 3. The story telling and writing style of Liz Braswell is wonderful. That definitely helped this story a lot. Overall, this book makes me want to read the rest of the series, especially based on the reviews of other readers. Disney fans will enjoy it for sure! Three out of five stars.
