Splatoon, Vol. 9 (9)

By Sankichi Hinodeya

You would think it isn't possible to outdo yourself after writing eight graphic manga novels. Well, it is. Sankichi Hinodeya has rocked once again with his new debut, Splatoon! Shining as bright as a Gold Dynamo Roller, Team Blue is ready for the Ranked Battle Cup!! Fresh and exciting as spiced calamari, this graphic novel takes you into the world of Inklings, the city of Inkopolis. With Specs out of the game because of a run-in with bees, carefree Goggles needs to find a new team member! And who should it be? After Crusty Sean's shop exploded, Emperor needs to get some money to fix it!! And doge joins team Blue, now Team Bluperor! Together, with Spec's encouragement, they face Team Green in Blackbelly Skate Park in a Tower Defense! And here is more news! After having a run-in with bees while picking ingredients for his curry, poor Army can't compete. So who fills in for him? Rider, who has been waiting forever for this day!! And annoyingly, he has to try not to bicker with Aloha! UGH!! After going against team Worker's Head Towel, Team Bluperor is ready for more opponents. With silliness, triumph, and never doubting yourself, this manga is perfect for readers of all types, along with those who have a hatred of reading books! With bonus manga and an Inkling Almanac to meet your characters, this book is engaging and beautifully written. Pat on the back, Sankichi Hinodeya! You deserve five stars!

Fading Echoes Warriors: Omen of the Stars, No. 2

By Erin Hunter

Spectacular! Filled with excitement and adventure...sure to amaze readers looking for an awesome book to read. Very engaging, and impossible to put down! An ancient prophecy has stated that three cats will save their whole world from a great peril. Two of them have already found their destiny; now it’s the third cat’s turn. Dovepaw is an apprentice from the warrior Clans, who hunt and fight in the wild...and for many generations, there was peace between them. But now that peace is shattered, as darkness and evil looms up ahead... Dovepaw, along with the other prophesied cats, Jayfeather and Lionblaze, is getting ready for her destiny. She has special powers, which enable her to hear things that are very far away. Lionblaze is an invincible fighter, while Jayfeather can read the thoughts and memories of others. But Dovepaw’s sister, Ivypaw, is often jealous of the attention she gets. So when a strange cat named Hawkfrost comes to Ivypaw in her dreams and offers to give her battle training, how could she refuse? What she doesn’t know is that Hawkfrost’s an enemy...one that her sister and the others are destined to defeat. Can she realize the truth—before it’s too late? Read this book to find out!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Volume 17

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Volume 17

By Ted Anderson, Katie Cook

This is the best volume. After the season 10 volumes (vol 1 and a pre order vol 2), of course. It's really funny, and I bet it was fun to write because of how chaotic it was! Andy Price has great art, and hes a Brony! Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, & Applejack are the most comedic trio together. You should read it. It's hard to explain how good it is :)

The Journal of Curious Letters (Book One of The 13th Reality Series)

The Journal of Curious Letters (Book One of The 13th Reality Series)

By James Dashner

This book is phenomenal! I could not stop reading! You should read this book if you like logic, mystery, and close-calls. In my opinion, I think The Journal of Curious Letters is way better than the first book in Harry Potter. You can totally understand the plot, and the book makes sense.

Panda-monium (FunJungle)

Panda-monium (FunJungle)

By Stuart Gibbs

This is the third book in the FunJungle series by Stuart Gibbs. In this book, Teddy is told not to investigate a crime, but of course, he does anyway. This time, FunJungle's veterinarian and their new panda were kidnapped. Supposedly, from a moving truck that was bringing the panda to FunJungle. Since the panda was being rented from China and it wasn't actually their property, they had to get the FBI involved. Large Marge turns around and decides to be nice to Teddy, because she wants to show up her sister Molly who is in charge of the FBI investigation. Like in every other Stuart Gibbs book, the main character, who is a kid, turns out to be smarter than every other adult in the story whose job it actually is to solve the case. I think this plot gets pretty old when it is repeated over and over, just in different scenarios. Overall, it was not my favorite book, but still a fun read.
