Siblings Sadie and Carter Kane are set with the mission of finding the old god Ra, and making him king of the gods again, to overcome the god of chaos, Apophis. To do so they have to steal from a museum, go to Russia and fight a two-headed snake, and travel through the Twelve Houses of Night. There they have to say the secret name of a god, find the old form of Ra, play a game named senet with the god moon god Khonsu, and fight against a magician that supports Apophis. I overall enjoyed the book and recommend it.

This book is about Sadie and Carter Kane. They are magicians and must train other magician recruits. As they find out in the first book, Apophis, the evil snake god is rising out of his prison. If they don't stop him from breaking out, the world will turn into chaos, and most likely bring the end of the world with him. Sadie, Carter, and a few of their acquaintances will need to go around the world to the different Nomes and find the three parts of the Book of Ra and find Ra, the sun god, who might be the only one who can resist Apophis's power. The only problem? No one knows where Ra is. As they go around the world to try to save the day, Sadie and Carter must face multiple threats from other Egyptian gods who don't want Ra to come back. Can Sadie and Carter save the world from Apophis? Can they find Ra? Read this book to find out! This book is chock full with suspense and some parts make it seem as if you are right there with them! I would give this book 5 stars and if you enjoyed this book and the previous one, be sure to read the last book of the series as well! :)
This book is almost as great as the first. If you loved The Red Pyramid, you'll love this book, it's amazing! It still has the two great main characters (Sadie and Carter) it also has all the great gods (Isis, Horus, Zia, etc.) The Throne of fire has also many great action scenes like the first book (The Red Pyramid). It is honestly one of the best books of my whole entire life. You're gonna love it when you get a first glance at the book, and when you do read the book, you'll feel like you can't put the book down.
Rick Riordan wrote many great books, but The Throne of Fire (The Kane Chronicles, Book Two) is his best one yet!!! I encourage you to read this book because it is really good! :)
