Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning?

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Collins delivers equal parts suspense and philosophy, adventure and romance, in this searing novel set in a future with unsettling parallels to our present.

This was an amazing book. I read all 3 of them. Amazing couldn't put them down

This book is so so so so so so so so so so so so cool!:)

I thought it was very interesting, though at times a little but depressing. I do belive it is for 8 grade- adult. as the series goes on, there is some adult content.

This is the start of one of the greatest series I have ever read in my life. The book has so much emotion shown by the main character Katniss and truly captures the moment of these ruthless hunger games. The book is filled with suspense and it was hard to pull myself away from the book to do homework. The book was a true page turner and is a book that I recommend.

I have wanted to read these books for months. It all started when my cousin ordered and started reading them.I asked her everyday when she came home if she was done with it.

I have never read this book should I?????

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is very intriguing and suspenseful. In this novel, 14 people are sent off to an arena for a fight to the death until one person remains. I think that this book was the best book of the trilogy. It had a lot of action and it kept the reader interested. I really enjoyed reading this book and I recommend to readers of all ages.

In a world where the capital controls all 12 districts, every year they hold a special event. One girl and boy from every district is forced to participate in the hunger games. 24 tributes enter the arena and only one comes out. With the exception during the 74th hunger games where two from the same outcast district left alive.

This trilogy is one of the best books I've ever read. I can't even get my eyes off it when I first started. It has a lot of suspense and gripping actions which made it really exciting to read. The movie is also fascinating!

A great book to read. To start off if your looking for a book win amazing action and fun, this is the right book for you. It is probably the most thrilling series out there. As a boy and a girl Katnis & Peeta sacrifice themselves to fight to the death, but only one can win. Twenty four tributes are sent to the battle filed, two from each district. However keep in mind there is only one winner. If your looking for a suspense and action-thrilling book, this is right for you. Who do you think will win? Read the book and you will find out.
