At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

This paperback edition will include a never-before-seen short story, "The Crown of Ptolemy," in which Percy and Annabeth fight alongside Carter and Sadie Kane, and more bonus content!

Cliff hanger stunk at the 2 book but it is no longer a problem another great book we have to wait another year:( Super Spring Out

I know I've written, like, a million reviews for this and everything, but I'm having MAJOR fangirl issues right now. HELP MEEEEE. . .

So, we may fangirl a bit too much....

Well. You aren't the only one.

Worrin Worrin

I love this book.

But, it is so dam (as in Hoover Dam) good. Uncle Rick is such a troll, but you gotta love him and then murder him while admiring his skills.

Was I the only one who freaked out when there was that Hoover Dam reference in MoA?

Warning: Extreme depression, crying and may lead to crazy addictions to, fangirling, fanfiction or belonging to a mental hospital Review: The series (Percy Jackson and HOO) ruined my life and millions of others, I Frank-ly (see, it has changed my whole prospective on life -.-) warned you up there and now there's no going back. HOH SPOILERS TURN BACK IF HAVEN'T READ! (which is highly unlikely) Nico is not G for Gaea, A for Annabeth and Y for Yolo. HE IS NOT ---! HE ONLY HAD A MANCRUSH ON PERCY! Nico admired Percy for his bravery and skill, he admired Percy so much, he couldn't bear to kill him. True friendship. 2014 is the year when "fangirling and generally being in a fandom" is considered as a mental illness, well, SEE YA ALL IN REHAB!

I was fangirling so hard today. Me and my friend started screaming and giggling and talking our heads off. That wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been in the middle of English class. I got lectured.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!

Percy rocks Percy rocks

I read the book. Awesome!!!!. Can't wait for 5th book: The Blood of Olympus.

i love this book. it would be a really cool movie if they make a movie about this book too

This book is fantastic. Makes me nostalgic for the fist series, though. Sigh.

Aww, man. Percy Jackson can't END after this! What about Percabeth? What about all of the characters who are like family to me? What about my CHILDHOOD?! UNCLE RICK, STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!!!! (I feel so bad for Nico. Poor him. Poor Bianca. *tears*)
