Kristy has really missed actually playing on a softball team. Teaching the Krushers is fun but not as fun as actually playing the sport. So, Kristy decides to try out for the softball team, and she, along with three other girls, gets in! Kristy is so excited. Well, she is until some of her teammates need Kristy and the other new girls to prove themselves. Through hazing, the softball team thinks that Kristy and the other new girls with be able to show them what their made of. But Kristy is feeling uneasy about the whole thing. But through peer-pressure and the desire to fit in, Kristy and the other girls decide to go through with the hazing. But when the girls find out that their prank got out of hand, Kristy and the other girls are terrified and guilty. It doesn't help that Karen, Kristy's little stepsister, has been really looking up to Kristy lately. Kristy worries that the truth will come out and the Karen, along with the BSC girls, will not like Kristy anymore. I thought this book was surprising and very interesting. I couldn't put the book down. This book turns into a mystery which I think was just amazing! This book teaches the importance of never giving into peer pressure. It also teaches the importance of being yourself. This book stresses the point of not letting others control your actions. This book was so good. It was packed with good life lessons. I suggest this book if you like reading about pranks, babysitting, softball, and friendship. Happy reading!
