This is an awesome book. What happens when you take a bunch of mountain girls and put them in a princess academy? A good story. If you want a good story of learning, growing, and change, then read this book.

i love this book it is about a girl who lived with her dada and sister but never got to goto the quarry. Then she when to princesess camp the story about how she lived and if she was the prinsses or not.
Meet Miri, a fourteen year old, who has natural talents of being a hero... this story was really intriguing and kept me engaged... like seriously it was at 12'o clock at night and my mom kept on telling my to sleep... but I was like hold on to finish a chapter... at the end I did finish the book at like 1' o clock.... the prince is now looking for a bride... and all girls of age twelve to seventeen must attend an academy to learn "princess skills" to learn what's the job of a princess... Miri does not know what's plan ahead for her...Miri comes from a family that is not that rich... and in the academy Miri learns so many new tools she can use for the future.... With a hint of romance, adventure, and fantasy most girls will enjoy this light-hearted story... Enjoy! :-)
My favorite part of the story is this,Her father said, you are never to go in the Quarry,my flower.So she never did.The rest of her friends said, you are strong,Miri.She was named after a rock.( Or a flower. )
Miri lives with her Pa and her sister in Mount Eskel and has always wanted to quarry stone from the mountain, but her Pa has always forbidden her. But just before winter, messengers arrrive with some shocking news: the prince's future bride dwells in Mount Eskel! Miri and other girls of age are whisked off to an academy to train to become a future princess. She learns many things, but most shocking is the truth about how traders have been exploiting the good people of her village. This book is an amzing read, and I would reccomend it to people who like fantasy and adventure.
How else will a girl like Miri prepare herslef for such as future but an academy about how to be a princess but what els is she preparing for... A GREAT ENDING! this book is the best book to read and i think is good enough to be reread many times again!
Miri wants to be able to mine in the stone quarry, but instead she goes to the princess Academy where she has to learn to be a "proper" lady and marry a prince. Miri hates this more than anything. How will she escape this horrible prison??
Miri is a fourteen year girl who lives on Mount Eskel - a place where her ancestors have quarried stone for generations. But her father forbids her from stepping foot into the quarry and she feels as though she doesn’t belong there at all. But her luck changes when the traders arrive for the last time before winter, bringing with them an official from the capital of Dunland. The priests have declared Mount Eskel the place from where the prince’s bride is to be chosen. The Princess Academy, usually just a formality, is built and the girls in the village learn to read, write, how to walk, talk, etc. Many of the girls don’t want to become princesses because their families need them, and yet competition strikes up. Who will be the next princess and will Miri be able to save her and her classmates when trouble strikes? I think this is a charming book that draws you in and shows the growth of a character discovering herself and is a surprisingly good read. I recommend this book to any reader interested in a tale about empowering and finding yourself.
Princess Academy is a book that is written in such a way that it draws you in and keeps you there, even after you are finished reading. In it, a girl named Miri finds herself crushing on a boy who - as she later finds out - is a prince. Then, after hearing that she can enter a contest to become his wife, the girl decides to test her fate and try to become a princess. I found this book to be a delightful, light-hearted read. It is definitely a good summer read that will keep you interested throughout the entire novel. The characters have a lot of depth, and the book itself is very well written and well timed. All in all, if you are interested at all in a book, I would recommend the book Princess Academy, for you can relate to any character, even if you aren't royalty.
