In this riveting debut, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world—before the wrong person finds the answer first.

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. And Sophie has a secret—she’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and almost instantly she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.
But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.

This book is the best!!!!!!! Very closely related to Percy Jackson and Harry Potter. Definitely would give it a 100 star rating if I could.

Ohmigod this book and series is completely jaw-dropping, and even more so this book! I absolutely love it, and the mysteries get even deeper! If you like mythical creatures (but not the boring ones like they teach you about in school), this book is totally for you! Read it!

What can I say but... OMG this book is amazing 👏I love it so much. I've read the series at least once or twice OK maybe 😅 10 times. Its a extremely exciting series 👏 when I read it the first time I didn't care for it but as I read it more and more I loved it I don't like magic in books all the time but I've literally changed.

this book series is amazing! i dont like magic in books but i love this! Team Foster-Keefe!

I like the Foster-Keefe better. (I think there is more of a chance)

But Sophitz is good to

This book is amazing. That is pretty much all I have to say. These words mean a lot because I am a very picky reader. Sophie is a human, a normal human. Or so she thought. Her whole world came crumbling down like a glowing castle because of a pair of teal eyes. This book has everything from mystery to fantasy and even a little small crush. Even better this book is book one in a series!

This is an AMAZING book. It is highly recommended by me. Anyway, it is about a twelve-year-old girl named Sophie Foster. She can read minds, and in the human world, she can hear everyone's thoughts--as if they were real human voices. It's horrible. It all started when she was only five years old, when she fell and hit her head. She wishes she weren't so different from everyone else--until she meets Fitz, a boy who can also read minds. He tells her that she is an elf and that they have been looking for her for twelve years, and takes her to the Lost Cities--the world where elves live. His father, Alden, tells Sophie that she has to leave her human family and leave the Forbidden Cities (the human world) forever. She moves in with a couple named Grady and Edaline who lost their daughter, Jolie, years ago. She makes new friends and passes her exams at school, but she's different in many ways: 1) Her eyes aren't blue like all the other elves--they're brown, 2) She's from the Forbidden Cities, 3) No one--not even the most highly skilled Telepaths can read her mind, and many other ways I can't even say. Will Sophie ever belong? Maybe she'll have to be kidnapped, put her best friend Dex in danger, get lost in Paris, and even stand on the verge of death to find her place in this strange yet exciting world. Read. This. Book. NOW!

This book is awesome and so fun to read. It is a good mix of adventure and emotions. It is about this girl named Sophie who figures out that she is a elf. All elves have abilities like reading someones emotions or telepathy, and they live for ever. Also they do not have pointy ears until the start growing old. I would defiantly recommend all 8.5 books. (8.5 because there is one that is a guide and not all story)

This book is so amazing! I'm finished reading it at home and when I first saw the preview, I knew this would be the book for me. Thumbs up here👍!

This book is really good some parts are a little boring. But I totally recommend this book 📖. So READ it. 📚 (follow me pls I am trying to reach my goal of 50)

I think it's... even better!
