It's the start of the school year, and nothing feels right to Justin. He didn't get the teacher he wanted, he's not in the same class as his best friend, and his little sister, Elizabeth, is starting kindergarten at his school. Elizabeth doesn't seem nervous at all. Justin is very nervous about third grade. And to top it off, he's lost his favorite stuffed animal, but he can't tell anyone, because technically he's too old to still have stuffed animals. Right?
Here is third grade in all its complicated glory―the friendships, the fears, and the advanced math. Acclaimed author Rachel Vail captures third grade with a perfect pitch, and Matthew Cordell's line art is both humorous and touching. As Justin bravely tries to step out of his shell, he will step into readers' hearts.
Justin Case is a 2011 Bank Street - Best Children's Book of the Year.

I have really been trying to like this book. But its just not working. This is just not a good book. I don't really get the point of this book.

Justin Case was a common story about a middle school boy worried about fitting in and making friends and being popular. This hilarious story is full of drama, trouble and humor. I think anyone that is 8 and up could read it.
This funny, cute, and spectacular story is about the life of Justin Case and all of the trouble he gets into starting the school year. Nothing goes right for him because he loses something he really cares about and he can't tell anyone about it, he didn't get the teacher he wanted, and he is nervous to be starting 3rd grade. Justin Case's journey into the 3rd grade is a bumpy one. He gonna need some good luck, ya know? Just in case...
I loved this book. You can join Justin on his adventures. People call Justin Justin case because he is a scradey cat and he is pretty much afrid of everything!
Loved this book, it was easy quick read. Everyone feels like this once in a while. He worries a lot like me and its similar to diary of wimpy kid... if you want to laugh read this book
This was a funny read. This too is a quick read that made it enjoyable during the summer. It was humorous and simple which I liked. It also had a cute catch phrase, "Just in case," since his name is Justin Case. Like I said it was an adorable story, especially with the dog and it caught my eye because it was very funny. I liked the character, and Justin Case was perfectly described in the book. It was very descriptive.

Justin Case hated school. He didn't want to be in school anymore but he wanted to stay away from his little sister. He was a troublemaker wherever he went. I think the book is pretty funny but in some places a little boring.
