Read this story with my friend and we found it really interesting the main character is Stanely and his friend's name is Zero. He find somethings will he is digging....
This book is a touching a little hard to read book that an edjicated third grater can even read. I like this book because it has a good way of showing friendship and how you don't need money to be happy you just need love just like what my family gives to me.This book also shows leadership and even if you are a little over wait you can still do things every other kid can do.It shows don't make inisent boys dig to find treasure that dose not belong to you.I hope that one day you will try reading this book and find out that you like this book and want to add it to your bookshelf too.Hope you like it.
It's about this overweight boy named Stanley Yelnats (spells same forward and backward) and is wrongly accused of stealing a famous baseball player's shoes. He is given a choice: either to jail or to camp green lake. Let's just say it's not "camp fun and games" as he expects. Everyday he has to dig a five foot hole, and find the mysterious past of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and someone else at camp named Zero. It is an engrossing adventure of how Stanley has destiny--or whatever you want to call it.
I didn't really like this book. i don't like the way the author writes. But if u have read marvin readpost this is the same author. That's just my opinion but if u want to read it.
Holes, written by Louis Sachar, is a deep, action-adventure story with heart. Following three stories set in different times, Louis shows how different someone can be on the inside, or how drastically someone can change. Stanley Yelnats is an innocent boy, who could never take care of himself, let alone steal anything. After being accused of thievery, Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake, where mysteries never cease. At camp, digging one hole a day, Stanley's character changes as things slowly turn from bad to worse. Stanley survived camp, but can he last against the harsh, hot desert?
