A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

This is awesome (this book)

This one has a bit more action sequences in the second half of it, but Harry is still at Hogwarts! Though different from his seemingly "domestic" adventures, Harry is allowed away more often in this 5th book.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. The suspense is so much its scary. Harry gets older and a little more sensitive, but I can get that especially when Sirius died I actually was sad. 5-star book!

This book was the 2 best one.One reason this is so good is for the feeling you get when the second most hated character in the books gets fired.

I didn't LOVE LOVE LOVE it but I liked it. In this book, there is this organization named Order of the Phoenix . The book has a little darkish things but I still think that the series are great!

I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!! I have read all the books, I have all the wands, I have all the movies, cards, shirts, and memorabilia! I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!🎉😆😋

Kind of boring but Harry seems to be in a bad and angry mood for the whole book

I really think that HP is a good series!!! I went to the HP exhibit in NY once.

This book is really good! I am currently reading it for the second time. Once again Harry's scar is hurting. Over the summer, Harry is attacked by dementors, and now he's been confided in about a secret alliance, The Order Of The Phoenix. Now at school there is a new teacher. She's horrible! She's not even letting them use magic! And she's firing! Poor Professor T.! So Harry, and some others have started The D.A. And Mr. Weasly gets attacked! Then Harry, and some others have to go to The Department of mysteries... I won't spoil it for you. P.S. I hate Bellatrix Lastrange!
