This book is a work of art--I cannot describe it in any other way. The Elders is action-packed, witty, and nicely written. I liked it even better than the previous book in the Foxcraft series, The Taken, because Inbali Iserles has once again written a thrilling and beautiful book. All the characters were extremely relatable, with good personalities and humanlike feelings--especially Isla, the main protagonist. She is brave, courageous, and determined, willing to do anything to find her brother, Pirie. Her personality makes her an awesome character whom I could look up to, and she faces her fears with all four paws on the ground.-------Review: Isla's trek through the unknown wilderness to find her brother has now led her into The Wildlands, a vast forest that holds many secrets. Her life is at stake--but she has come this far using foxcraft, an ancient magic that only foxes like her can use. But evil lurks in the depths of the Wildlands...evil that even she may not be able to face. When a strange fox with the ability to make others do as he pleases comes into the forest, Isla is the one who must stop him. Can she do it? Read this book to find out!

Skilled though she is, Isla's grasp of foxcraft is still new. And she's not alone... A cruel and mysterious fox stalks the forest, with the power to enslave others to his will. In order to survive, Isla must learn to trust in the rustic Wildlands foxes.
But there are tales of others -- a council of Elders who are masters of foxcraft, and who warily guard its most potent secrets. If Isla wishes to master her gifts and find her brother, then the Elders may be her only hope.

This is the next book of the Foxcraft series. In this book, Isla is searching for her missing brother. Even though she is very skilled in foxcraft, she still has a new grasp of it. However, there are tales of a council of Elders who are masters in foxcraft. They guard its secrets, and if Isla wishes to master her gifts and find her brother, her only hope may be finding the Elders. Another thing is that she is not alone in the forest. There is a cruel fox who has the power to enslave other foxes to his will. This book was interesting, and I recommend it to people who enjoyed the other book in the Foxcraft series, or people who enjoy the Warrior Cats series, and other books related to Warrior Cats. I rate this book 5/5.
