Retro is just so not Greg Heffley's vibe. Black-and-white pictures, garage bands, and especially a lack of electronic devices are a big no-no for Greg. He's perfectly happy with a color TV, baby wipes, and all the comfortable features of the modern-day world. So, naturally, Greg is completely perplexed as to why his mom would want people to sign a petition for a No-Electronics Weekend, or why people would want to go on the school day camp trip. What's the fun of things without devices? But when an unexpected event that will get Greg into horrible trouble with his dad takes place, Greg decides to attend his school trip to a farm. Little does he know about the undead farmer Silas Scratch haunting the farm...or the ghoulish encounters he'll experience. An absolute thriller of a book, Jeff Kinney will have readers on the edge of their seat for all 228 pages available.

This is one is a really funny one. It talked about school more then the others in my opinion. Boy tend to like this series more.

Old School is about a kid named Greg whose parents want him to experience what they experienced when they were kids. Greg likes staying indoors, however his parents have other plans for him. His mom does a petition to get people to do things the old way. The book starts with Greg and his best friend Rowley doing a lemonade business that did not turn out so well. This book was funny, and I recommend it to comedy readers, and also people who enjoy the other Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, and the Dork Diaries series. I rate it 5/5.

I think that this book is sooo awesome

Great book filled with the experiences of Gregory Heffley, the protagonist who goes to Hardscrabble Farms, a truly...different type of camp focused on making the kids feel like they are well and truly focused and actually getting their hands dirty! Recommendations will surely sprout to whoever feels like reading before going to a weeklong camping trip like Gregory did!

This book is based on the olden days and when there wasn't that much technology usage. For example, Susan (Greg's mom) gets a petition signed to stop using electronics for one day. This forces Greg to go to the park cleanup. Since he doesn't like to cleanup, he tries to escape with a prisoner and another kid. They end up getting caught though. Also, Greg goes on this field trip where he has to sleep at a farm for a few days. His dad has to end up chaperoning him even thought the whole point he went there was to avoid his dad. I liked this book because of the humor. I also liked the story of this book. I recommend this book to anyone.

Greg is just trying to enjoy the great ... indoors. Unfortunately for him, his mom has just made a petition for a weekend with no electronics. What a nightmare for Greg! Greg will have to think hard for him to survive the weekend. His best friend Rowley might help, but Greg needs to think about himself at this point (not that he already does that). To make things worse, Greg was forced to sign up for a wood area that makes the kids do almost everything old-fashioned. And there is also the deadly Silas Scratch to worry about. How will Greg get through this one?

I really liked this book! It's about a boy named Greg. In his neighborhood everytthing goes old school! It's crazy for greg! He doesn't understand why! His mom also makes him do old school things! Read this book to find out more!

when ever my grandmother comes over, she always wants to read the diary of a wimpy kid books and she always bursts out laughing. I also love the books. this one is my personal favourite.

Ahh so funny! Read it. Jeff is a very good author and the way he covers Greg's family is great!
