Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

But one day his mom and dad decided that August will go to school. When they go to the school Jack Will, Julian,And Summer show him around the school. After that surprising things happen. i dont like books with bullies.

yea me too and I feel bad for them too !! ):

I <3 this book it is a very very good book and I think everyone should read it at some point

This is the best book! Ive watched the movie and read the book. My mom was like, “You should read this book.” So I did. She always gives me good book advice! Auggie is a normal boy starting school. There is only one thing not normal with him though, his face. At school kids make fun of him. He has to stay with his friends (Summer and Jack) to get through the school year. Auggie goes through happiness and troubles. Read the book to find out what happens! I seriously recommend this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

cheese man cheese man

Oh, yes! I enjoy this book. I watched the movie and was thinking, "Hey, I didn't read the book. I'll give the book a try." It was really really really good. Multiply that last sentence 10 times to get my point. This book is about this boy named Auggie who has this syndrome that makes him look a little weird and he is a little dis formed. Auggie is normal besides that, liking Star Wars, playing with his dog, Minecraft, and video games in general. He meets 3 kids on a tour of his new school. Charolete (note, it could be Scarlet, I don't remember) is a serious actor who has a bit to say, Jullian is pushy, a little mean, and is sort of a "boss", and Jack Will is the kindest of them all and shares similarities with Auggie, and they become friends. At school later, Auggie meets a kind new friend named Summer. Soon, during Halloween, Auggie's favorite holiday (he can dress up, wearing a mask, and nobody thinks he is weird because of his syndrome)! He hears Jack Will talk with Jullian and his fiends. Jack says he'd kill himself if he looked like Auggie. Auggie, feeling depressed, goes to the nurse, goes home, and doesn't want to go trick-or-treating. What's next? Read the book to find out! The story also changes perspectives, like Auggie's older sister Via and later Jack Will. This is seriously recommended!!!

its a good book about a boy named august and he is going to school for the first time doesn't seem bad right? But august isn't normal when he was born he had a cleft palet which made is face abnormal . It was his first time going to school cause all the other years he has been home schooled by his mom. His experience of school go from bullying to a friend going behind his back and later saying sorry. The kids that makes fun of him gets into a fight with august's friend. The more mean the kid was to august the more friends he lost and august gained and later the bully is stopped once in for all after doing something terrible to the class photo
