Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

This book is SO good

Woah... that was so enjoyable for other! Also, I may not know you aaa57, but you're inspiration was very well for others to understand. So thank you!

Really good it is sad, but not as sad as I thought it would be. Auggie is wonderful. So well written. But it showed how much we need kindness in this world. August is wonderful character. It is a fictional book but things like this happen all the time so I think this book is a good mix of the real world and different points of view. I recommend you watch the movie it fallowed the storyline well I really like how the actors make you feel like you are reading the book it is really good. And they also got other people's story's in the movie as well as the book. Over all I like them booth and recommend you read and watch them to.

So aaa57, I saw u yesterday. Why did you love this book? Is Auggie (August) ur favorite character?

Wonder is a very good book I recomend it. I´ve read the book more than once.Wonder is about a boy who is a little disformed but he makes a friend if you want to know what happens next get is from a library neat you.

Wonder is an incredible book that if I had to rate it from 1 - 10 I'd pick 10! It is a sad, funny, and heartwarming story about a boy who has a disease in his face and how he goes through public school. One of my favorite parts was when the boys stood up for him at the nature retreat. One of the stories themes is you can't judge some from the outside. and I think everyone has to remember that.

This book is so good! It spreads the wonderful message that we are all the same and are perfect in our own way! <3
