Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.
The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.
I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.
August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Wonder is the best book I read last year. I loved how it was told from multiple perspectives. I think everyone should read it.
I am about halfway through this book and I love it! The story switches between characters and each character moved the story forward. It is interesting to read and really makes you think. Best book I have read this year so far.

Wonder is a great book about a boy named August Pullman ,who was born with a facial problem and never gone to school until now when he goes to school and understands school is not for him ,people freak out when they see him ,but can he stand it any longer .LOVE THE BOOK!!!!!!!
Wonder is a pretty good book, but I didn't really like it. We had to read it for book club. It was a really good book, I just didn't like it that much.
I would like to be auggie's friend. He seems nice in the book :) I was the new kid in 4th grade and it wasnt so easy at the begining but it was alot better in the end. So incase you havent read this book, its about a boy named august (auggie) pullman who has a deformed face and which prevented him to go to mainstream school untill now. Auggie is starting 5th grade and its not so easy, he meets friends and even more friends on the way but a kid named julian >:( is stopping him. Read to find out what happens to auggie, his friends, and Julian.
This was one of my favorite books to read because it was about like the same thing Mrs.McCarthy
One of my ALL TIME favorite books! Augie has a personality like no other and teaches lessons that nobody even thought they needed to learn. The courage of one 10 year old boy in amazing!
