Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Amazing and inspiring

This is the most heart-warming books I have ever read. This tells the story of a boy who has had many surgeries at a young age because of his birth deformed face. He has faced many bullies but eventually meets wonderful friends (no pun intended). I would recommend this book to just about anyone.

Kids that are being bullied need to read this book ! It is very inspiring and it taught me to keep my head held high and not give up . even though I am still reading the book , it still has inspired me from half way through the book. I still recommend this book for kids going through a rough time. Ex. ( divorce , bullies, emotional issues , and a person that just loves to read solution books.

my teacher read this to the class such a sweet book it has a great message to people who read the book .

My teacher read this to our class. It has a really good message.

This book is realy great i recomend it for anyone who loves reading! ;-)

this was the best book i have read last year,

Wonder is a great book about a little boy named Auggie who's face is deformed. Auggie is going to a public school for the first time and is hopeful that people will treat him fairly. Auggie suddenly hits a few bumps in the road and some teasing. Wonder is a heart felt story about how a little boy over comes his fears and he even meets a few actual friends. I would recommend this book to anyone 8 years or older.

I recommend this book to people who like interesting problems, but if you are 8 and under, maybe get your parents to explain it to you as you read. I only say that because it is based on a serious subject.

I just got this today!I am so excited to read it
