Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

This book is about a boy called August Pullman (also known as Auggie) and he was born looking different from others. He went to ordinary school like other normal people but everyone thinks he is strange. A lot of people teased him and bullied him but some people helped him and supported him. I think this book was a really interesting book because it taught me that it is okay to be different and it is always good to be different.

This book was little easy to me but it was very interesting. It is about August Pullman or Auggie who was born with facial deformity. And he is going to normal school, just like ordinary kids. It tells how he overcome to become ordinary and how he be friend with new classmates. It is really impressive the way he thinks. I can almost remember whole book, it is very warm book but sometimes it is really mean and sad. Some are ignoring and bullying him just because he has facial deformity, but some are not. It is good to read to tell about bullying to the people who is different. It was good to read.

I honestly LOVE this book. It is the best book that I have read in many years, and I recommend this book to people in grades 3-7. It is about a boy, Auggie pullman who has a (honestly) major facial deformity who has trouble fitting in. This book is told by many different points of view, including his older sister, Via, and the friends that he makes along the way. This book is unforgetable, which is why I think you should get a copy and read it NOW!

This book is about a boy, August, who has facial abnormality. Because of his insecurities, he never really went to school and didn't have much friends. But one day, his parents decided to finally send August to try to go to school. At first, of course, everybody in his class looks at him with the "Did you just kill someone" face. But gradually, August makes a good friend, Jack. August and Jack becomes really good friends, however, Jack betrays August, because he don't want to lose his old friends, who bully August. This leads to lots more problems between August and Jack, and even the school. This story is tragic, funny, and moving all at the same time. I think every middle schooler should read this book at least once, because it really teaches you and gives you a lesson about treating others how you are supposed to be.

Loved it!!!! 5 stars. Awesome characters.
