Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Have you ever felt like you were in a wold were only your parents care about you. And you think you don't have any friends or you have no ordinary face that is shifted down. or your trapped in a hallway with sorrow and regret screaming at you saying go die. If you go outside and sit in a corner looking at your feet covering your face pretending you don't see people staring at you. At lunch you sit at your own table cause no one wants to sit by you. And you got to eat the same lunch every day cause its hard to eat regular food. Or no one is touching you cause there a thing called a plague. Auggie is a kid with a deformed face that struggled with making friends and getting through life. And if he had one miracle it would be to have a normal face. WONDER. I recommend this book cause it was hard for me to get a book that i could stick with but since i read this book i stick with it cause its sad and a warm in my heart at the same time. It's a soul with feelings in a wonder book.

Wow. just wow. I could not believe that book can even be that good! I kept wanting to read more. The way the author kept switching perspectives made it really easy to relate to the characters! We all want to be like Jack, or Summer, but in real life, its really hard to be like them. You can be sad or happy. Dreading the next event, on the edge of your chair, waiting to see what comes next. It is a 5 star book that is about as good as it gets!

wonder is an amazing book. it shows how it doesn't matter about the outside it matters about the inside. Also you really just sink in to the book and just ignore everything around u. it truly takes my breath away.

This book is a bit sad but at the same time enjoyable.
