Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I am going to talk about the book wonder, so the book is about a boy with a deformed face. Now he has to go to school and this is about his time being in school. Okay I am done summary without spoilers so let’s start talking about wonder. The main character is auggie. What is this book filled with? Well it has a lot of drama so this is your book if you like drama. This book is also filled with funny moments, It also have a little bit of sad parts too. So if you like drama, funny, and sad stuff well I think this is your book. Also there are parts which tells you a different characters. I enjoyed this book when I was reading it. Each chapter just wants to make you keeping reading chapters, there are also very short too. I like this book it was different for me though. Like some sad parts are not sad for me. The reason why the author wrote this book is because she saw a girl with a deformed face. When I am writing this review the wonder movie came out I am excited for it to come out on DVD. If you are done reading this book there is a second book which tells you about a character that in the first you don’t get to hear. I hope you like my review and that this review well help you decide if you are going to buy wonder.

The book Wonder is a beautiful book that takes you through the life of a fifth grader with a extraordinary face. His name is August Pullman. He is 10 year old boy starting fifth grade in a real school. August has been homeschooled all his life. This is his first year of school. This book has ups and downs, and is a heart warming story. That many can relate to. It's not just sad it is also very funny. Even though Auggie has a deformed face he finds a way to be happy. There are different sides of the book you will hear from. Such as August, Via, Summer, Justin, Miranda, Jack. Wonder has so much detail to make you feel what all the characters in this book feel, it can make you imagine in your head what all of the people look like. The book was so good I didn’t want to end it. You will definitely get attached to the book and to Auggie.

This book Wonder was amazing. This book made me cry when she wrote about what had happened to the main character August . I also cried when she wrote how all the kids looked at him because face and how they talk about his face behind his back. But, there were good parts like when he made first friend. The bit that made me really sad was when they went camping. Like I said there are good bits and here's one of them how his friend named Jack stood up for him. This book is heartwarming and sad but it is really awesome.

This book is amazing, uplifting, and heartfelt, and I will totally recommend it if you’re into reading or are just looking for something to read. Wonder is about a courageous boy named August Pullman. He has a facial deformation that spreads all over his face. Also will be attending his very first year in Beecher Prep Middle School. August will adventure through very dramatic year in the school, and at the same time, Auggie ( a nickname for August) will have to go through very hard and rough times with his family. The thing is, this book is very relatable with all ages,so they would not be bummed and not pay attention to the book, and also, this book has real life problems that happens to some of the readers like bullies, finding out really weird and sometimes really sad stuff about your friends. Since we’re still on the relatable subject, this book talks about Auggie feelings, and if teenagers want to read, well there are parts about his sister, Via, and here adventures and feelings about her high school. This book has caught many book review companies and has even been made into a movie! He is, in my opinion, a Wonder.

Wonder is a funny, emotional, and heart warming story. You will surely get attached and find the love for August Pullman. August Pullman is a 10 year old boy with a extraordinary face but in an ordinary body. He has been homeschooled all his life. This year in 5th grade will be his first time going to a real school. Throughout the year Auggie faces tough challenges. Will he pull through or let it bring him down? Throughout the book you will hear the different sides of Auggie’s story. You will hear from Via, Jack, and Summer. Then you will soon know the story of August Pullman and the things he will come across in 5th grade. This book will definitely fill you with wonder. I really recommend this book if you are looking for a book that will fill you with happiness and joy inside. Auggie will teach you how to share kindness. “ When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind”
