Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

When august reaches the age of 10 he goes to his first public school which eventually turns into an adventure. Following further into story August gets friends that found him normal just like he wished. In this story August has been outside with other people and was surprisingly comfortable with it. Wonder is a book that is about, a little boy with a deformed face. In this book my feelings were hurt and was so sad, sometimes it cheers me up. This book gives me goosebumps, and it is sometimes shocking of what you can hear about the things that happen. This book inspires me because you can tell people that you can trust all the bad things and good things that happen to you. My friend could read this book, because if she reads this book, it will probably inspire her like it inspired me.

The book Wonder is a beautiful book. The book wonder will open your heart and make you have a lot of feeling. August has been home school for his whole life but at the age 10 he was not home school. August went to this school called beacher prep. He had a best friend named jack but they had a few arguments here and there. August Pullman had a sister named via. August Pullman is such a smart and talented kid. August Pullman has a extraordinary face but he still a nice and funny kid. His mom and dad taught him to be a brave kid and forget about those people who is talking about his face.I love the book wonder he is so funny some people Probably don’t like it but I love it the first time I heard about it was really nice. But when you read this book you will love it. when my teacher read this book to us it was really awesome.

Who ever reads this book watch a little at a time because reading the whole thing in one day will make you cry. This book made me want to buy my own in one part. The main character of this book is August Pullman. Everyone saw Auggie as ugly looking kid but he was just a strong and a ordinary student. I loved this book because it had so much detail to it and also has it’s own movie called WONDER. I would love to recommend this to a friend because I know it will make them cry and they will recommend watching the movie. WONDER is a great book and movie and I hope you’ll watch the movie and read the book.

This book is called Wonder and this book is an funnny, sad, joyful book and it is based on a boy named August. He is homeschooled by his mom but when turned ten his mom decided to put him in school so then he will learn to work with others, and does not have to stay home all the time. There are more characters in the book Wonder and they are Via, Justin, Miranda, Summer, and Jack. (Auggie's nickname for August) journey through his first year at Beecher Prep is heart-breaking, funny and powerful. In addition, he is a really strong boy that faces a lot of things but he has really good friends and they are Jack and Summer they don't laugh at him but they do laugh with him and that is what makes them good friends. Another thing about this book is that Auggie’s family is alway protective for instincts (Via nickname for Olivia) Via is the most protective one in her family for instincts if anybody stares at Auggie she always says this ā€œif they stare let them stare you can’t blend in when you're born to stand out.ā€ He does ordinary stuff but like why can’t he be ordinary like other kids. For me this book is truly a ā€œWonder.ā€

Wonder is a book about a boy named August Pullman who has difficult face issues who has an up and down life that goes side to side that ends up into a little swirl of having his life very difficult. My feelings were sad, surprised, mad, and happy because of the book so many expressions have digged deeper into my heart. I recommend getting this book because it has a good story and many details you will be surprised about including how will things end up differently. When you get the book I think you will think differently of what you might think of your perspective. I recommend giving this book to a friend after you finish the book and tell them if you liked or not. For something to remind you do not watch the MOVIE first if you do you’ll already know what will happen and then it will spoil the book for you. Since I already read the book i’m not sure if there is another book like that and that the book will never will be replaced. I liked the book very much because of its Drama, sadness, anger, happiness, and surprises it has.
