Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

WONDER is a book about a boy named Auggie Pullman who has a facial disease that stopped him from going to a real school. Now, in fifth grade, he will be attending Beecher Prep middle school. He then meets Jack Will, who will soon his best friend and Julian, a bully whose story has not been heard. Will Auggie be able to survive fifth grade? A funny, heartwarming and heart throbbing story written by R.J. Palacio. I highly recommend this book to everyone of all ages.

This book is amazing. It is about a boy named Auggie who was born with a diffreny face. He has been homeschooledhis entire life. But when Auggie goes to school, he is misriable. Auggie is tryingto show his classmates that underneath all his "uglyniess" he is actually a ordinay kid. Do you think that Auggie an show his classmates that he is like all the rest? Find out in the book wonder. ps: The movie was AMZING!!!!

awsome awsome

love it

never saw the movie but my friends tell me it was great

So if I were going to tell others all about the book I would tell them to read the book after the movie. I would normally never say that FYI but it is a good choice and I will tell you why. First of all the movie will make you cry your eyes out where you just want to see but then you don't. Next the book is amazing I love this book it has so many emotions and it shows how kids are treating kids today even if they don't look like what he does. If I were read this book it has parts that you would never expect from the people you think that will change. But they don't mean to. This book shows kindness and don't treat others for the way they look treats for whats inside. So read the book and just think If i were that kid how would I feel... Because you never know what comes in the ending...
