The One and Only Ivan is a very inspiring book. Its about a Gorilla that is living in a mall. When a baby elephant shows up, Ivan steps up and takes care of her. It can get emotional at times but it still is a Great book that I recommend to anyone.

One And Only Ivan is kinda an animal abuse type of book Ivan the gorilla is a true artist and is probably the sharpest crayon in the box and ruby the new elephant needs some incouragment ivan and ruby will work together in this book to to a diffrent that 1 doesnt like and 1 does.
The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate is about a gorilla named Ivan, who has two friends named Bob and Stella, who are introduced to Ruby. Ivan promises that he will take care of Ruby, so he is basically abandoning Stella, since he used to take care of her because of her injuries.
If you like animals, this is a perfect book. Who knew a gorilla would have such thoughts?! The narrator is just that: a gorilla. Make sure to check this book out!
This book is really good! It may seem strange that a gorilla lives in a shopping mall that has a zoo, so it is suprising that it is a true story. This story is very heartfelt and is a little sad at times.
