In July 1942, thirteen-year-old Anne Frank and her family, fleeing the horrors of Nazi occupation, went into hiding in an Amsterdam warehouse. Over the next two years Anne vividly describes not only the daily frustrations of living in such close quarters, but also her thoughts, feelings and longings as she grows up. Her diary ends abruptly and tragically when, in August 1944, Anne and her family were all finally betrayed. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank remains the single most poignant story to emerge from the Second World War, and her diary has come to symbolize not only the horrors of the Holocaust but the strength of the human spirit in adversity.

I have heard a lot about this book. My language arts teacher spent all period just talking about AnneFrank and her book. He showed us pictures of Anne and her older sister, Marrgot. I think I spelled her name wrong, but ohhhh well. I want to read this book because for some weird reason, I'm interested in the Holocaust.

I love this book! Its a diary about a girl named Anne Frank. She was a Jewsish German girl who went to a concertration camp. It takes you through a girls wondrful but short life.

This diary written by Ann Frank is a really sad and interesting way to see her story. I really recommend this book.

I've heard about Hitler and his army( lost the war 60 years ago and they did horrible stuff). If you are obsessed with drama and diary type books, then this is for you.
