Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

candy candy

It is good and I think everybody should read it and because Raina Telgemeier is the best writer every .

Raina is a normal teenage girl. But then one night she trips and suddenly her two front teeth are gone! Then she's on a overwhelming course of teeth surgeries, head gear, and braces. Suddenly Raina feels different and quite embarrsed about her two front teeth which at one are not even real! Suddenly she realizes she also has to deal with friends, boys, and school plus she has to add dental drama to the list! This Graphic novel is 100% a MUST READ!

this book has a lot of the feels , i rate it 1,000 out of 5 stars

Poet Ogden Nash said, "Some tortures are physical/And some are mental,/But the one that is both/Is dental." Graphic Novelist Raina Talgemeier knows this all too well; she is the Odysseus of modern dentistry. The author tells of her own particular journey of adolescent woe which came in the form of a seemingly endless tangle of dentists, endontists, periodontists, orthodonists, with their promises to perfect her not-so pearly whites.
