Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

This book is very good, i read it about 10 times not lying! It is super funny also, its sort of about how everyone makes fun of people for the way they look. The main character (the one that got the braces and head gear) got made fun of for looking different, then once everyone adapted to her they stopped and they were a little bit nicer. Thats what i liked about it the most. I also love the series but mostly this one.

I loved this book SO much. I love all the books written by Raina Telgemeier. I can personally relate to some of the situations that happen to the main character in the book, which is really nice. I love the story plot and the creativity.

I love this book, I've read it like 50 times. I think it's really meaningful when Raina finds her real friends, instead of her mean "fake friends" that she had to put up with.
