Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

I think this book is great! I really loved it and if you like reading about a girls life in a fiction book who lost her two front teeth and gets braces "Smile" is the book for you. :D

I actually read this book last year and I thought it was pretty good. It was a nice and easy read so that was good. This is one of those books that you can read if you have a book report due the next day.

I love this book! Raina Telgimier is a skilled artist and amazing writer. I got this book for my birthday, shortly after being told I would have to get braces. At first I stuck it at the back of my bookshelf, because it was a graphic novel. I love books, and I'm always grateful for a new one, but I wasn't sure about a book that was all pictures. Eventually I decided to read it, and I loved it. I identified with Raina, because I am also the oldest of three, and my younger sibling drive me crazy! Her crazy four year journey with braces made me feel much better about getting mine, (which come off in 4 days!). I love this book, and definitly recomend it to anyone who is afraid getting braces, has annoying younger siblings, or loves graphic novels!
