Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

I love smile, it shows how this girl, starting from middle school all the way to high school, deals with her teeth problems. while this, it shows how she living her life, with her friends, who aren't really her friends, her family, and even boy trouble! if you like this book I recommend reading sisters and drama!

I have read that book and i had a ton of connections

Kytro21 this book is not based off of a true story 👎

I can know that kind of feelings because when someone stare at you with a strange look it feel really bad when they stares at you and saying something secretly, and you will think they are saying bad things about you.

This book is based on a true story. It's about a girl who had an accident and lost 2 of her front teethes. She has to go through many sugeries as a teen which is really difficult. Even since then she had special medication to do everyday. She wouldn't even dare to Smile because she is afraid that people will laugh at her. But at the very end she had really nice and straight teeth. Like other people, I could read this book a lot of times and won't get use to it.

Love this book I could read it a 1000 times

I love this book (Rate 10/10) because I can definitely relate back and it is an autobiography in a comic form which to me is an interesting way of telling ones story!
