Raina Telgemeier’s #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning companion to Smile!

Raina can't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren't quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn't seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.

Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado.

Have you ever been on a one week car trip with your siblings? Well in this book they go on a trip to California to visit their cousins it doesn’t turn out as they wanted. This book is called Sisters by Raina Telgemier. The protagonist would probably be Raina and antagonist would be her sister in her eyes that is. In the first book Raina loses her two front adult teeth and gets braces so everyone in this book especially her sister always brings it up. Raina asked for a sister but realizes it is a pain in the neck but then they also get a younger brother named Will. One conflict is she wished she didn’t have a sister because they will make fun of you all the time. The second conflict is that sisters never help you and don’t act like family. This book takes place in California and Colorado in 2015. The turning point is when the girls found Raina’s sisters king snake mango and Raina was terrified. I would probably recommend this to anyone who liked the first book Smile and Drama or anyone who like trips to different states
