Raina Telgemeier’s #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning companion to Smile!

Raina can't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren't quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn't seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.

Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado.

These sisters have never bonded - ever. The sole thing they have in common is a passion for art, which doesn't really help to form the sister bonding. However there could be a chance to change this when the family (Raina, Amara, Mom, and Will) takes a road trip, passing many different states, experiencing a variety of cultures, and enjoying rare scenic views, all in the effort to attend a family reunion. In the many struggles they encounter, having a snake trapped in their van, parents that don't seem to get along with each other, and having their car towed, will these sisters be forced to muster all the affection and love they have for each other, or continue quarreling in vain? Join Raina and Amara on this adventure, based off a true story that will make you laugh, cry, and never put the book down, as I certainly couldn't until I devoured every single page.

I've read Sisters soo many times that I think I should've memorized it by now! This is the perfect sequel to Smile, but it focuses more on Raina's relationship with her cynical younger sister. (Cynical equals awesome in my opinion) The Telgemeier family takes a road trip to visit their family across the country, and the sisters fight and argue the entire time (as normal) but learn in the end that they should appreciate each other more, even though their personalities clash. I loved this book, and it was highly interesting. I would recommend it to anyone ages 10+ and up.

Sisters is a CUTE book about the sisters! I love how they go on a road trip, and how they are nicer to each other in the end, and the older sister takes off her headphones to listen to her sister talking ( for about the first time!)

This is an awesome book ever!!!

This book is like my brother and I!

This is an awesome book!!! Ever wonder how to deal with your sister? well this book show you can, and that a sibling relationship will always have its bumpy roads. This book is good for boys and girls and any ages. There is no bad language or any inappropriate pictures. I personally love this book and will always read it.

I am in 3rd grade and it is easy to read the grade levle sould be 3-12 because a kindergarten can read that and the real book by there selfs easy peasy.

This book was funny and light-hearted. It's a great book to read on a vacation. Some things I questioned though.... Like why weren't Raina and Amara close? Even if they annoyed each other... they are still sisters... but anyway... I still give it five stars....

It's a good book! It definitely has some wit and humor. The flashbacks and foreshadowing are really effective and well placed. I would recommend this book to kids at ages 9+.

This book is one of Raina's heavy-packed trips to visit her aunt and cousins. She goes through some snake fears, and much more. I recommend this book to you.
