Having a sister or sibling is not that easy. You might argue a lot and disagree, but other times you guys are like best friends. If you have a sister or any sibling in fact, you can probably relate to Raina's tale. Raina Telgemeier has always wanted a sister. However, when her sister is born her expectations do not meet her reality. She expected her sister to play with her, joke around with her, spend time with her, and share with her. Instead, she got a cranky, grouchy baby, that mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years. This story is mostly showing times with Raina and her sister and their disagreements. For instance, Raina's sister, Amara really wanted a snake and Raina was extremely grossed out. I recommend this book to people that can relate. Or people that always wondered what it would be like to have a sibling because this book is kind of accurate. I also recommend this relatable story if you like graphic novels. Overall, I rate this book 4/5.

Raina can't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren't quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn't seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.
Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado.

this book is literally me and my sister, like im not even kidding.
me too effie302!
Same here! Exactly like me and my younger sister! I always wanted a sister then when she was born I was shocked! I thought she would be nice as a tiny baby but instead she would cry and sleep and eat! And get this! : When she was born I went to the hospital the first day she got born and I expected her to talk to me right after she gets born! 😂😂
this book is literally based off both me and my sisters relationship and its so accurate to the touch!!!! this is the only reason why I read this book 20 times!
Fun fact- this story is based on the author of the book. This book is about Raina, who is excited to be a big sister. However, when her little sister Amara is born, her expectations do not meet her reality. I think that readers will be able to relate to this story. Overall, I think that this book was very funny and I liked the illustrations. I recommend this book to people who enjoy other books written by this author, or people who enjoy the Baby Sitters Club series. I rate this book 5/5.
I loved this book it told a lot about how sisters can be with eachother it was funny at some point in the story.I loved when her little sister got a snake and it got in the car.
Love it
This book is interesting, best book ever
Raina is the older sister, the role model. Right? Not really. As Raina is cooped up with her younger sister, Amara, and little brother, Will, on a road trip for a family reunion, the tension between her and her siblings are cast into light. Amara outshines Raina's assets, Raina feels lonely, and Will is still his effervescent self, even though it drives his family members out of their minds. When Raina and Amara begin to realize their relationship is not the only tense one in the family, though, they remember that sisters will always be sisters. A highly entertaining and heart-touching book about the importance of family, this will definitely be one for your bookshelf.
It's really good. It is about Raina's relationship with her sister. So, as a kid Raina really, really wanted a sister but then her Mum was having a baby. Then as the two of them get older she starts to hate her sister. And then they have a little brother will and then Amara ( Raina's younger sister, sorry I didn't say it earlier!) started to bicker. I won't spoil any more!! thank u for reading my review!! Stay safe and stay home!! -MHKGC235
