THIS BOOK IS MY FAVE JOHN GREEN BOOK. In the after part, it makes you not want to finish reading it due to the "Bomb" (what I call a certain event) THIS IS RATED PG13- R Little kids SHOULD NOT be reading this it has a lot of "stuff" in it. I'm 13, and I was surprised... but this is a great book.

Before. Miles “Pudge” Halter is done with his safe life at home. His whole life has been one big non-event, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave “the Great Perhaps” even more (François Rabelais, poet). He heads off to the sometimes crazy and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young. She is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. Then. . . . After. Nothing is ever the same.

I absolutely love Looking For Alaska! It has an amazing story line, and an amazing everything else. I don't think it was necessary for John Green to add in some of the more explicit content, but I loved it to death anyway!
The book "Looking for Alaska" by John Green was a very well written book. I was done with half of the book in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Probably because the book is so good. You should read it!! :)

This book is great, but not my favorite John Green novel. I love Green's unique writing style and use of metaphor. It's captivating and interesting, and it really makes you think about yourself. I love love love Alaska's character. However, this says that the reading level is 4-10. I would definitely NOT recommend this to anyone under at the very least 6th or 7th grade, as it has a lot of mature content.
The reason I don't recommend this book is because it is a very mature book, only 13+ I think should read it. It's amazing though, and takes you on a roller coaster of the real life.
this is a great book. all of john green's books are sad and a bit crude, but you can't put them down! I highly recommend this book!
