He is one who encourages her artistic talents, and Zander is a celebrated New-York author, even if he drinks too much. Her twin sister, Julia, always wanted to be dressed up same, which has annoyed Dana a little. Later, Zander, her father, dies due to the drowning, which has caused the Burley family to leave the New York to live in Maine. But Dana feels like her home belongs in New York so she decided to leave her family behind to live in New York with her young aunt Adele.
