hirteen-year-old Mia Winchell appears to be a typical eighth grader. But Mia is keeping a secret from everyone who knows her: sounds, numbers and words appear in color for her. Mia has synesthesia, the mingling of perceptions whereby a person can see sounds, smell colors, or taste shapes. A Mango-Shaped Space is a poignant, coming-of-age novel spiced with wit and humor that chronicles Mia's developing appreciation of her gift and the part it plays in her life.

Amzing book. idk y everyone els thinks its "ok" its really good. its about a girl who can see sounds and how she handles it.

I love this book but it gts boring at times.

his book is okay because it is very sorrowful and deep, not what I was expecting. Hopefully this book will get better throughout!

It was a pretty good book! I love Wendy Mass. Although this isn't my favorite, it was really good but sad :(. This is a good book for people who like realistic fiction and people who don't mind sad books. If you've survived the Hunger Games, you'll survive through this.

Mia sees things in a different way. Sound and numbers have colors that go with them. Mia finds out that she has a condition called synesthesia. But learning this turns Mia's whole life around.
