You can get them from doing a bunch of different things, for example posting a book or movie review, or being the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd comment on a news article! Hope this helps! :)

You do things like add your first book or movie, join a book club, write a certain m=number of comments on a new article, stuff like that, and you get a badge.
